Even the SHites are sick of him. Not one reply except his own:
First facts-Former John Lennon friend & record producer Jack Douglas.
Douglas announced Sunday at Beatlefest Liverpool....he had recently produced a duet of Ringo Starr & Paul McCartney..to be issued as the 1st single off of Ringo's upcoming album.. he also said it's fabulous...*-Douglas has never been listed in any capacity, of having worked with McCartney-Starr or Harrison at anytime prior to Sunday's announcement.
On or about the same day Douglas broke the announcement ( Sunday ) a blog -Something New Beatles blog....the same people that publish 'Beatle's Monthly'--a long standing Beatles news publication...leaked a tracklist which includes the song title "Grow Old With Me"....which is a well known title of one of Lennon's final songs...recorded in demo form only..& released on Milk & Honey in 1984...& later augmented by a George Martin orchestration, it was released a 2nd time, on a Lennon compilation..-Fact----it was also one of at least 4 demos given to Paul by Yoko, prior to the Beatles reunion/anthology.. at the Hall Of Fame induction.
Fact---oddly the 10 song leaked Ringo tracklist, also contains besides Grow old with me....the titles 'Money' a beatles cover from 1963...& the title "Magic"--a title from McCartney's 2001 album Driving Rain...
Fact---some of our Beatles 'insiders' here on the forum have said recently..that a significant or interesting Beatles related or Beatles project would be announced prior to the Abbey Road 50th box set...& that it has nothing to do with- the recent Beatles UK singles box..
Recap-we Do know...Lennon producer J. Douglas produced the upcoming Ringo/Paul duet lead single...We do know Lennon's producer-a Lennon song & a Paul & Ringo duet happened & is scheduled for release shortly..
WE DON'T KNOW---If they used a Recording of Lennon singing-Grow old me & or if it is augmented by Paul & Ringo..with three beatles on the track...
It seems possible, even likely given the totality of what we do know....what do you think ?
Can any insiders fill us in a bit more ?
PS Gorts....similar info & posts exist in the new Ringo album thread...but the thread title doesn't have any of the Beatlez-Douglas related info..
What do you believe is going on ....why nearly 40 years after Lennon's death...are Paul & Ringo...working with Jack Douglas It's not like they couldn't have gotten his number !!!!
If the song isin't with Lennon too....why is he there ?? But if it was Grow old with me...he'd ( Lennon ) be singing too...but that's a trio, & Douglas said duet ? Paul & Ringo..."
"Right, except i'm thinking the new single isin't GOWM, but probably a new, more upbeat song...perhaps written by Paul & Ringo....'the single' i'm thinking is about John or about being Beatles in the 60s or whatever....Which makes this story even weirder.....because Douglas said he only produced one song-the single.....but Douglas said duet....with Ringo & Paul both singing lead.....you'd think if after 40 years you bring Douglas in for one song...you'd have John on it too...in fact Douglas had discussions with Lennon, about Lennon's ideas for the arrangement & such...
I'm very curious, anxious, but i'm not especially good with puzzles...I was really hoping for 1 song with 3 Beatles on it.."
I'm not good at reading your posts you fucking idiot....
"Only ONE (and new) videoclip, actually I've asked the question to person that always hates us for our hints to tell me WHICH was the new video and if he liked it, of course 'No Reply' as he usually finds out of news and track list a day before anything is announced, if you don't like us, don't follow us or avoid our posts, simple! The other three will be audio tracks only same as the first batch with 'Something', and we don't know yet if any lyric video could be appear as well but as far as "videoclip" or "new video", just one. The EPK, the Radio Show with Howlett, etc, all in due time. And to another hater as far as I remember, maybe he missed it that "Oh! Darling" was pushed back after Labor Day because this is about sales, not to please someone, increase the promotion in early September and in between announce a new album with two Beatles on it and then continue with stronger promotion for AR50th and a brand new video, etc. It's all about sales, I repeat.
Right. But this is a discussion forum that has been having these types of Beatles & other discussions for decades. People are doing what they always have. I think Apple marketing or Universal monitor these forums as much as we monitor them.
I hope I'm not considered one of the haters...I've read a couple rude posts here & there, maybe most were scrubbed before I read this thread.
Anyway I appreciate what you tell us, what's not to like.
As far as sales, we're pretty explicit here about what we'd like to hear, the audiophile camp, the rare songs camp, the remix cadre..I'm in the rare songs camp & mostly they ignore us, but that's not you personally. I do have some resentments, but mostly I just don't buy if it's not what I want to hear.
Anyway once again thanks so 1 new music vid great ! We got 2 last year, 1 this year....of course Let It be already has music vid on all the songs...maybe they'll fix up those rehearsals & do one for one next year! Atmp or whatever."
Of course the record industry checks out the Hoffman forums to see what's what. I hear a large number of high end hi-fi manufacturers are also creating accounts on the Audio Hardware so they too can find out what's what.
In case anyone didn’t know by Johnny’s constant “any updates???” posts bumping up the thread, The Who are on tour and have an album out soon that I’m sure 6 people will enjoy.
The Who are touring with an orchestra and previewing new stuff. Already dear Johnny has made up his mind about the entire album.
He takes overthinking to another planet:
“In a live stadium context, with marginal fidelity from somebody's smart phone...I'm liking BIG CIGAR better than HERO GROUND ZERO...but eventually when I get to hear the record, I think HERO will be better. It's a better song with more to it...CIGAR is more just blues with I am The Walrus or Pink Floyd style orchestra behind it....I think there are others I'm gonna like better..But I already like both tracks.”
My friend is tight with Bissonette, I've avoided calling for this, cause I know Mike & Maccawing want to tell us..who's good at esp. Besides its awkward to have a friend ask a friend...& he might be under orders to keep mum...or not even know, he plays live with Sir Richard, but seldom plays on the studio tracks, for obvious reasons....but he did say he'd heard it..
The profile pic is a Good clue, an acknowledgement of suspicions without actually saying 1 single word...
