Interesting bit of info from our man taking about inner sleeves: He bangs on about being 70+ now, which means he was in his 40s-ish in the early 90s. Did he decide to move from record store clerk to teacher in his 40s? Or work at a record store while also working as a teacher? Even more interesting is that he found this noteworthy enough to poat because just about every single fucking store cleans the records and puts them in generic inner sleeves in 2023.

And just to prove how stupid he is:

He was wanging on about Boomtown by David + David being one of the greatest melodic genius albums of all time, so out of curiosity (and since I remember my old man had a copy, probably still does) I played it.
Jesus Christ, what absolute shite.

And just to prove how stupid he is: To be fair, he's from NE Ohio, right? WMMS played the hell out of Ziggy Stardust in the 70's. I know I thought Bowie was a big deal, but when we did the family vacation and I'd meet kids from other cities they had no idea who he was. But he's still just a dick and I just wanted an excuse to say, "To be fair..."

What about Chicago? I think they were big in the communes. I'm sure he's right about that one.
Then again, rjp might not have the smallest fucking cluse as to what a hippy was. It's possible he has them mixed up with hobo's. I suppose it's more likely his helmet is way too tight.

I remember when we'd put on Songs In the Key of Life and just stare at the lava lamp

This guy is so hopelessly out to lunch. Next band to perform in The Sphere. Maybe they can pull out an unfinished David Crosby demo and overdub it. There's at least 5 people who would enjoy that (Neil Young, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash would certainly not enjoy it)

I am longing to hear him explain what he thinks mea culpa means. It has to be a M*****l-style lots of laughs misinterpretation.

I want to know what an investigation at Hoffman Forums looks like.
Gort: “Steve, we have a problem. RJP is saying he didn’t say something that is tied to his username. Any suggestions?” Steve: “According to Karla he only donated $15 this time around.” Gort: “Got it: guilty. Thank you, O’ Mighty One.”
While I’m at it, I would also like to welcome RJP to Stereo Central, too. (Just joking, of course!)
