Any dipshit reference to the preposterous idea of the Beatles "inventing" heavy metal with Helter Skelter. Die. Now.

How about suggesting that SACDs need break-in time? "Anyway, could it be that the SHM sacds need a little "break in"?" What are SHM SACDs? Steve Hoffman Made?

They use a different material that may or may not be an improvement over regular ones. They do offer different masterings sometime.

I guess I would see in scratches and stuff maybe bring scratch-proof/unbreakable stuff, but sound? Different masters, sure, but if it was the same mastering? Sounds like SHiTe snake oil to me.

That's right, the SHM part is pure hokum. There are some good masterings, but you can often find good ones at a fraction of the price.

But SHMs generally come with OBIs.

Tullman:
It saddens me to inform all of you that are interested, that I broke one of my SHM SACDs last night. I was simply wiping it off with a microfiber towel. I applied a little pressure but barely enough to bend the disc. The disc snapped in two pieces. :shake:  :realmad:
I have wiped literally thousands of cds sacds and dvds over the years and have never broken one.
I can't imagine trying to pull a SHM SACD from a tight fitting spindle. That thing would snap so fast.
Just a fair warning here. SHM SACDs are VERY brittle, like a thin piece of glass.

The question is why does one need to wipe thousands of CDs/DVDs/SACKDEEs? The advantage of formats other than precious vinyl is you just hit the fucking play button. No wood glue, no thousand dollar cleaning machine needed.

Crying and shaking . . . and shaking and crying.
I'm surprised that BradOlson hasn't created a RIP thread for Tullman's loss.
