Jamie C., 12/6/07: Oh man. I am literally shaking and crying. So wrong, way too young. I was not prepared for this. Michael, 10/7/04: I get teary eyed when I hear the Dex "You Can't Do That" and just about all the rest of the early American Beatles LP's...memories flood my mind with bliss... Steve Hoffman, 3/26/06: Has anyone here ever personally heard vintage wire? If so, what does it sound like compared to modern? If you have NOT made the comparison, YAP UP. Dave, 3/14/06: It is impossible for a tape to hold the compression levels of these treble boosted MFSL's like Something/Anything. The metal particulate on the tape would shatter and all you'd hear is distortion if even that. Hats off to overrated for a great public service. And just to add for context's sake that the "literally shaking and crying" poat was in response to the death of Dan Fogelberg.

Beatles Never Bad: am I crazy?
It's fallen by the wayside but I remember variations of this were somewhat popular when I first joined SC years ago. Thanks, BeatleJLOL!

Funny to think that STeVE still had a job when all of these quoats were made. That's a bit of a stretch. It was more like a hobby.

Do any of you longtime members know the reason for the asterisks in M*****l’s name?
I’m guessing it’s due to some boneheaded poat of his, but my curiosity is getting the best of me.

Searching M*****l's posts for the word 'terrorists' (when logged in) is horrifying. A few post-9/11 entries that would give Homeland Security pause for thought...

M*****l posted some paranoid bullshit at SH.tv about how "dangerous" and "scary" it was that a sinister gang of possible terrorists were not only mocking and quoting his posts at another site, but, most terrifying of all, they even knew and used his actual name. You know, "Michael." True boneheaded story. So I made certain that the dimwit could sleep easy at night by protecting his identity by writing his name as M*****l. Holy shit you must have really got under his skin. This is from yesterday. M*****l:M*****l:forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/when-shows-get-too-preachy.898987/page-2#post-22529283

when did most of today's TV shows become politically biased? That's a good question. My memories of television back to the 60s and 70s tell me that except for some special outliers (Smothers Brothers, All In The Family, MASH) there wasn't much in the way of political bias in TV. At least not as I remember. I can't say I watched lots of TV in the 80s, so it's kind of a blank for me and after 1989 I basically haven't watched TV much at all. So I'm guessing it's more a 21st century trend? Can anyone spot something like a turning point? a few years ago...it's disturbing, sickening, disgusting, lame, and down right disappointing...: ( If you agreed with the views promoted in the shows, would that change your mind? NO, not at all...it does not belong...when I watch TV I want to escape not be reminded... Escape from what? Not be reminded of what? being badgered!...like now!...perfect example! but not be shoved down the audiences throat...sorry, but television is a not a platform to spew biased rederick...I want to enjoy my TV shows free from that junk...

Wasn't Rederick Fred Flintstones posh alter ego? The one who sold naughty nighties? I think so.

Who coined the terms Smiley face EQ and Midrange suck-out? Were these Night-goofisms as well? They were terms beloved of British hi-fi magazines. Possibly still are.

Isn’t “Midrange Suck-out” a Bruce Springsteen song?
