From Wikipedia: “Brown's image is characterised by a clown-like stage costume consisting of a flying helmet and goggles, a multicoloured patchwork jacket and trousers, a white shirt, a red bow tie and moccasin slippers. During his career, his shows have revolved around various right-wing views and insulting numerous groups and individuals, primarily ethnic minorities and women. In 2002, during the recording of Standing Room Only he mocked the Queen Mother who had died just hours before. He maintains a loyal fan base in the north of England.” How is it in that pic Smokie looks like the Zac Brown Band? I can’t remember the precise details (nor do I care), but the guy in the bottom left of that band photo can be seen here:

Still laughing at this. I can hear Waters: "I want the band to come in when Mervyn LeRoy's name comes up!" . GTFOOH.

I'm betting they were big in the Iron Curtain countries I think you're right. I know someone who lived through a former regime, and knew this one.

Supertramp were superstars for a couple years. I remember when you couldn't escape from Breakfast in America, but does anybody under the age of 50 even remember them? I mean, anyone under the age of 50 not a member of Shiteville?

But did anyone 40 years ago even know any of the Supertrampers faces and names? Highly doubtful. Hodgson's solo career went poof in a hurry. He then spent most of his life playing Supertramp songs on the casino cicuit. I just love how completely out of touch rjp is. "Why isn't a band who hasn't had a hit in 40 years doing anything? ".
