What wonderful qualities in this crappy music am I missing? Do I not have the ears? I like some Beatles and McCartney stuff but Flaming Pie is a chore to listen to at best. And the Super duper deluxe is over $565?? You probably don’t want me to answer.

James McCartney, that is.

People are getting upset about a misprint Amazon Netherlands listing that has the Flaming Pile box for 30 euro but won’t ship worldwide. Honestly I like the album and this box probably isn’t worth it for 30 euros.

Should Mac3’s projected announcement and release dates hold up - I’m wondering what kind of promotional output will take place for a “low key” album (but highly anticipated by Macca fans)? That - coupled with COVID Health and Economic issues - brings both challenges and opportunities, when it comes to promoting McCartney III. I don’t think Economics will hurt sales. It’s a simple , single CD (I assume). It’s release is during Holiday/Christmas Season , when CD’s are popular items, even for “casual” fans. There’s no impediment from COVID to Social Media, High Tech or traditional broadcasting to interfere with either marketing or publicity. I’m interested in posters’ ideas and thoughts on these issues and how Paul will publicize the album. I’m expecting about 75& of the usual promotional push though the end of the year. THEN - based on critics’ reviews and Macca’s own level of satisfaction with album - a second wave of promotion in 2021 will take place. Initially, I’m expecting any TV or radio performance/publicity to be “flown” in on tape/video. A “slow roll” tease promotion of clues to hard -core McCartney fans would not be affected by COVID. Just wondering if they’ll choose this route, similar to Egypt Station ‘s roll out? Perhaps his semi-traditional Christmas appearance on Saturday Night Live would be a landing spot for a video of Paul playing the Single release from McCartney 3. If he and critics respond moderately, or less, then only some bonus tracks will be released online and those songs added to the original Mc3, for a deluxe edition. BUT - if Macca ,the public and critics are positive to over- joyed about the album - then I’m guessing an additional major big box of extra unreleased cuts, alternative versions and demo versions would be forthcoming in 1-3 years. Your guess is as good as mine! As far as promotion - Paul still hasn't done Song Exploder And Paul hasn't done an NPR Tiny Desk Concert Both are very big deals. Rumor has it that a film crew has been following him for years and this summer's Glastonbury was to be the culminating event. Perhaps somehow the creation of this album might be now a different but perhaps equally poignant ending. The film could be a Netflix type series. Nothing would promote this album better than a multi-part documentary we all watch during our locked down holidays. Considering that Paul sent nothing, except a video from his last concert to Ringo for his 80th birthday, I have to imagine the real reason Paul is with Alec Baldwin is to talk about MIII. Baldwin hosts the popular NPR podcast Here's The Thing. I guess he was hired out by the Beatles channel to create some Lennon talk, but surely there's more to come in a podcast format.

I remember watching one of McCartney's tour videos with my mum when it was televised around 1990ish. She said that he was a man who was living an extremely exciting and busy life, yet still managed to remain completely boring. Boring and conceited.
She said he was always an annoying little tit, even in the 1960s. She hit the nail right on the head.

At least he can't bundle this piece of shit with concert tickets and inflate the number as he did with Penis Station.
It should sell hundreds.

I'm not that optimistic. He may play the virtual concert card with an individual code.

Watching James Corden and realizing he’s an actual popular success, I can almost see where guys like Scoot and rfreeman get the idea that they too can make it. (Though obviously the guy at least has the nice/fun persona that will always be the roadblock for SHite wannabes.)
