I have sweet memories of my niece and me drinking Kool-Aid and reading her "girlie" comics like Sugar and Spike and all the cheesy Harvey Comics. I haven't checked out their new series yet.

None of the shops in town sold comic books, so I’d only come across them occasionally. That’s likely why I gravitated towards the “funny” titles, as they all had self-contained stories. Still, I love the insane covers DC used back then to pique readers’ interest. (The stories themselves are totally simplistic and juvenile, but those covers! 😂)

Speaking of Gold Key and Beatards, I still have a minty copy of Yellow Submarine. SHiTEs, I am taking offers by PM.

Hmmm. True dat. 35¢ was actually expensive for a comic book back then. In which case my auction will have to go for a minimum.

Actually, weren’t comic books still 12¢ when that Yellow Submarine one came out? I wonder how many kids actually chose one Beatle-related comic instead of three regular issues? (FWIW, just last week I learned that the artist who drew the Yellow Sub comic was the artist for the Monkees comic over at Dell.)
