Is that painful? If so, I'm all for it.

This is how lots of old men in power view the world. Wenner was just stupid enough to say it out loud. Old men "in power" must be doing something right, their critics are usually delivering for Instacart.

starts thread Looking for advice from teachers: Teaching, my first class ever moved to Thailand, two years ago, and I just accepted a job teaching English to middle schoolers in a remote part of Thailand. I’m bored, silly being retired and thought maybe I could help. The recruiters didn’t seem to mind much I didn’t have Teaching experience they just want native English speakers. So I’m a little bit petrified because I’ve never taught before. I would appreciate any advice on how to organize a class.. I think they’re 50 minute classes. And especially with look forward to any tips on teaching another language. Thank you very much. Oh I also don’t speak Thai so there’s going to be that roadblock. link

First lesson: how to use a fucking comma.
Second lesson: capital letters and when to use them.

I'm legitimately worried for those kids. At least they can speak in Thai in front of him without him understanding what they are saying.

First lesson: how to use a fucking comma. Second lesson: capital letters and when to use them.
Third lesson: don't fuck the kids.

The more I think about this, the more it sounds like a front for trafficking. Who hires a teacher with no experience or credentials, no curriculum, to teach middle schoolers who only speak Thai?
