which albums, that came out on the cusp of a decade, do you more associate with the following decadehope that title makes sense. was quite long, so didn't have room for a ? at the end this one for me I believe London Calling came out in late 1979 in the UK, if so that’s it for sure. London calling by the clash came out in December of 79 but it was 1980 that it gained all the attention. Led Zeppelin's first two albums released in 1969, the sound of the next decade. The Cars' debut album. I think this might have been the first really successful mainstream "new wave" album and it set the stage for the following decade. 1979 was a big year for Zappa releases Sleep Dirt Sheik Yerbouti (double album) Orchestral Favourites Joe's Garage (triple album) While the first three sort of summarize the seventies, Joe's Garage sort of pokes its toe into the eighties How about previous decade? Woodstock - 5/70 Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Californication (1999) Associate to 2000 They Might Be Giants - Flood Faith No More - The Real Thing Feels like 90s album but were recorded in 1989. Beck - Midnite Vultures (1999) it was the record we used in a party to celebrate the passage in 2000! Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking Came out in 1988, but I think of them as a 90s alternative band The Pixies first two albums, Surfer Rosa and Doolittle, released in 1988 and 1989, respectively. Both feel like quintessential '90s albums. Sometimes I forget this came out in 1980, as I tend to think it was 79. London Calling The very end of the 70s. Mid Dec 79 in the UK , Jan in the US. Always a 70's album to me. Chicago Transit Authority - recorded January 27-30, 1969 (!!!), and released April 28th/ 1969, I always associate it with the 70's...

Recommend me some good albums released this March that will feel like they won’t be out until April.

Records you shoved up your ass in December 1989 and didn't take them out until January 1990.

I would argue that, but I hardly care anymore. I was actually probably at my peak fan level with them when ZM came out, though listened to now, while it's not terrible, it is most certainly their weakest album by a rather large distance.

Your choice.

What is there to Deluxe? They've done the entire catalog in a box thing at least twice, I think. I've heard some of Sting's demos that are floating around, and they're absolutely nothing to get overly interested, let alone excited, about. They could trot out the individual albums again with the associated B sides tacked on. But even those would be kinda underwhelming.
I will say as someone who isn't overly concerned about things being ultra-pristine, for a long time the catalog that was out there sounded like total crap. Whenever that last batch of remasters was finally got things a little better. But I think part of the problem is those first three albums were/are never gonna sound all that shit hot from a sonic perspective anyway.

Sorry, the correct answer was "they are up my ass"
