Has Sean considered asking Julian to overdub the word "Tigger"? Cause I could see women getting offended by "chigger" too . . . Little-known fact: He was originally going to call it "Woman Is The Bigger Of The World", but then he remembered that whole kerfuffle from 1966. and thought "I'd better not use that word"...

The N word was used as an artist attempt to get people’s attention to the injustices inflicted on women. It was in protest, not derogatory towards anyone, but simply using the word for shock value. It has apparently been working for decades. Black people refer to each other using the term, which bothers me because, as a white person I’m offended by the history behind the word, not the use of it in certain contexts.

I picked up a Japan album yesterday and that had the N word on ...Rhodesia and it just feels so wrong: that and Floyd and Costello. Are there any people more qualified than this overweight middle aged white man to comment on this kind of stuff?

They are now discussing the word "niggard." I'm pretty sure someone poated "Woman is the niggard of the world" but it was gorted (either that or my memory is not as good as an elephant's)

If anyone is offended by this song, they have serious mental issues. It wasn’t a problem in 1972. Hell, John was singing it on Mike Douglas show. At 4:30 pm. We weren’t primitive people crack then, so it should not be a problem today, towhee than the flurry of snowflakes who have been born after this song was releases. No one cares. Release it. Maybe I should be offended about Play That Funky Music White Boy. But then again, I’m not. Who gives a crap. Tired of this garbage. Grow a pair people. Learn to deal with things that you don’t like. Nobody gives a **** out your feelings. Release this album already. I like it. I love the song. If it is removed, I would buy it. There is more reason to remove the Zappa stuff than anything due to copyright issues. The song is in Shaved Fish. Is that still available. It was on the Box from 2010. No reason to remove it. Next, they will want to knock down statues of Columbus. Crybabies. He loves the N word even more than he hates Yoko.

As this dipshit says himself, the song is not banned. These guys have spent so much time online worrying about things that have not and will not happen. They never seem to worry about anything that is indeed actually going wrong in the world. The song is not "cancelled." It simply sucks. Nobody cares about that terrible song, generally. The whole brouhaha there is just because they haven't yet released YET ANOTHER version of the song. Fifty years and a number of versions on. WTF. It's golden how he tosses Columbus in as some dangerous next step. Meanwhile, the gleeful vandalizing of every statue of Columbus should take precedence over any concerns over Lennon's infernal sax-driven ditty.

This is no more than the truth, but there is now at least one entire global generation of people in the western world who are incapable of seeing beyond the (deliberately) ‘offensive’ word in the title.

I happen to like the song that dare not speak it's name - maybe a "rapper" should cover it then no one would have a problem with "that word".

If it was me, I'd swap out Woman for Happy Xmas on the disc and the cover art and go on with the next project. No need really. The people who buy these sets are intelligent enough to place these things in historical context. I do get a bit fed up with the constant insulting of the consumer by the 'woke' philosophy. Almost every drama you watch on TV now has a 'warning' about the content being 'of its time'. We all know that. Yes, there are some vicious examples out there that need to be addressed, but to tar everything with the same brush is unnecessary. Funny how the Lennon camp is now bowing down to the PC crowd when in the past, they did what they wanted. What? Can you please elaborate? That depends on whether fan speculation is true, and there's no evidence that that's the case.
