Every time this thread gets bumped I'm expecting to see another delightfully inane Benjamin Edge thread. Can you fuckers take this somewhere please?

He slammed shit music that deserved it, often in a funny way. At least the old men here have a place to discuss Uriah Heep without having their feelings hurt. Yeah, it's called ShTV.

Here is one that went up on Monday, and noone has answered yet. Maybe you can be the first. I have a question. I would like to know whether or not any of Nico Zentgraf's history of The Rolling Stones' recording sessions through the years ("The Complete Works of The Rolling Stones") is accurate or is flawed? For example, "Start Me Up." Some say the first take of the song, which had a reggae-ish vibe and the title "Never Stop," was born out of the sessions of 1976's Black and Blue, but the author in question says the first three takes of the song were all recorded in October 1977, during the Some Girls sessions.Link to thread
Looking at this I don't actually see any clear discrepancy in the last sentence (those dates). 'Born out of' does not necessarily mean 'Was recorded in' Oh shit I'm being drawn in. The next thing, I'll be poating on that thread myself.

The only flaw with his site is that there's no way to know what's been changed! I've regularly sent him little bits of info about obscure releases and he has always been very generous with all of my questions. I'm sure at some point he listed Never Stop as coming from earlier sessions.

Can Paul McCartney Really Play Harmonica?
This video of Sir Paul playing the "Little Lady" harmonica has me asking: can he really play harmonica? I know three of his fellow Beatles (John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, in order of excellency) did, but McCartney usually has someone else do harmonica parts for him, among them Wix.

I think he should have harmonica parts flown in since he's more than rich enough to.

Bands/Groups That Had to Break Up Under Pressure?
Maybe it’s me, but isn’t that the cause of any breakup? How many bands are doing well and say “ah fuck it, let’s break up” ?

Logic and these shites are total fucking enemies.

My general rule of thumb is to never trust anyone there with a close-up selfie as their avatard. They’re likely standing naked over a victim.
