Funniest part? That forum is predominately populated by overpaid, underthinking dipshits who like nothing BUT rock music and buying the same records by overpaid, overthinking dipshits over and over again. I actually think SHites are closet rock haters, kind of like Billy Joel in that respect. They don't love rock music. They love their precious Beatles, who barely count as "rock". The love easy listening junk like Olivia Newton-John. They are incapable of enjoying music for music's own sake. Someone who loves any kind of music can get off listening to it on cassette with a blown speaker if the set or setting is correct. Those geezers are never satisfied. So, they buy 20 pressings of the same damn album, hoping the Who will sound as smooth and inoffensive as John Denver. They are so out of touch with rock music that they still consider Radiohead a "newish" group. Actual rock music disturbs them. I can't imagine the ones who claim to make rock music are any good at it. If they were, they wouldn't have to shill at Hoofer's. I agree with the part about unthinking dipshits though. That is spot on. You're right. They think that nothing good has come out since the 1970s. It's sad. |
