Every Father Time song screams "No exit!"

I was lost in the maze in the realm of the essence of Scoot.

I was lost in the maze in the realm of the essence of Scoot. It is pretty disorienting.

Yeah, that is the unfortunate downside to what we do here. We are the only people on earth who have actually listened to Father Time and James McCartney songs. Haha, I'll put my hand up, there's a lot of other things I should be putting my time and energy into, that might be more fruitful. A mental health professional would probably have some rational explanation as to why we might be devoting our attentions to that which we should really be ignoring and not giving the time of day to. However, when it comes down to it, these threads can be a lot more entertaining and insightful than the majority of what's out there. The hard bit is explaining to someone what you've been doing when they ask, 'what have you been up to'? To Antiram: You're right, there's no childlike quality to the music. It's stubborn and oblivious but with a lot of ego. I don’t even bother trying to explain SC to anybody. When my girlfriend asks me what I’m reading, all I can say is it’s a very long and uninteresting story. Which, although true, is especially unconvincing because I usually can’t keep a straight face for long when I’m reading SC: So she thinks I’m a liar up to no good. Thanks, fuckers.

It's the definition of a guilty pleasure -- Schadenfreude Central. But I'm grateful for the laughs. The one time my wife heard me LOL and asked what I was reading, I said it's some music geek thing and showed her the screen -- her eyes just glazed over in seconds of course.

What? You guys expect a scrawny John Cooper Clarke-like body could hold all the talent that Father Time has? Besides, the photo is deceptive. That's really just a tiny little Strat. Not only is it tiny but it's the worst possible colour for a Strat, or any guitar really. Of course it suits him perfectly.

Having narrowed the album down to a shortlist of 15, I was still surprised when I found out which one he was talking about.

The thread that follows is just unbearable. A few people dare to offer some reasons why you can maybe sort of doubt the Stones, and then the rest of the thread is just...unbearable. Stones fans can't stand it if someone doesn't think the Rolling Stones are the greatest thing that ever happened. They just can't take it! forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/how-can-anybody-doubt-the-stones.759366/

I don't doubt that the Stones have done nothing but shit since Tattoo You.

I don't doubt that the Stones have done nothing but shit since Tattoo You. You're right. Except for the few glimmers of good shit in 1994/1997, then it was back to garbage again. Saint of Me Out of Control Out of Tears three songs since 1981

That's one Stones discussion I wouldn't take part in even if I didn't have Scott on ignore.

Father Time knows he can stir up shit with that kind of post, and the mods will leave him alone because he's not obviously trolling the Beatles. There's people that say they haven't heard them since 1972 weighing in. It's just like their rap threads. People that haven't heard it hate it and the few that have say it's the bet thing that ever happened. One dude even said Dirty Work and Steel Wheels were better than Exile. There's no accounting for taste, but that dude doesn't have any.
