The motherfucker’s impeached! Let’s hope for a massive rage stroke or coronary while his fat ass is on the toilet. I’ll drink to that!

We all know the Senate won’t convict and that Caligula will run for re-election on his “exoneration,” but history will recognize that the House Democrats did the right thing.

The right thing would have been to beat him next November. Thanks to those hapless fuckwits Schiff and Nadler's mismanagement of this process, Trump's poll numbers are going up. Impeaching him when you know there's less than zero chance of conviction was idiocy. A vote to censure would have probably had some Republican support and caused Trump real damage. Enjoy your impeachment, and the four more years of that fool it has guaranteed.

Being censured would have meant nothing to him. (“Hapless Fuckwits”? The entire Republican Party and all those who support it are the true fuckwits.)

I'm kind of with mudflapism on this one. I'm happy Trump will have the impeachment asterisk next to his name, but we all know how this will end up. It doesn't matter if the democrats were on the right side of history, not when we've got another five years of this asshole to fuck it all up to where it'll take generations to begin to fix things. If the impeachments proceedings had been based on something far more compelling, like violation of the Emoluments Clause or war crimes in Yemen, the charges might carry some weight. But if the polls are any indication, Biden will be the Democratic nominee, the DNC and MSM will do (and are already doing) everything they can to fight the more progressive candidates in favor of centrism. In other words, 2020 is going to be 2016 on repeat. If Biden is the nominee, we're well and truly fucked.

Trump probably sees the impeachment asterisk as a badge of honor. In case you hadn't noticed, he's a psycho. I don't care what being censured would have meant to him. I care what it would have meant to voters. I find 99.9% of politicians of both parties to be fuckwits.

What's the link between how he's impeached and Biden eventually being the democratic nominee?

The motherfucker’s impeached! Let’s hope for a massive rage stroke or coronary while his fat ass is on the toilet. Fun fact: Dear Leader has not played a round of golf since his unplanned, totally normal, totally preliminary "physical exam".

C'mon guys. You gotta try. You gotta try, even if it seems a lost cause at the moment. Oh, I agree, the short term looks grim. But goddamnit! Just sitting back and watching this shit-spewing demagogue officially discard truth, honor, common fucking decency...things that used to matter to civilized Americans. Is that really the answer?
For fuck's sake. Vladimir fucking Putin is in Moscow spouting the GOP party line! What is this shit? Damn the fucking torpedoes. In 10 or 20 or 30 years hopefully someone will appreciate that at least someone tried.

Exactly. Congress has a CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY to do something about this shit. I’m sick of everything being viewed exclusively through a political lens, pretending that laws and morality are irrelevant.
Fuck fatalism. A LOT can (and will) happen between now and November.

I think it's time for Tulsi "Present" Gabbard to drop out of the race.

The Democrats were voted in in 2018 to be a check on the Orange Man. Before Trump's Ukraine "perfect" phone call the Dems were not in position and were not going down the impeachment road. Finally Trump crossed the line and they had no choice. For them to do nothing about this would be a disservice to the country. Trump needed to be slapped down or the Democrats would have looked weak and afraid of Trump. I'm hopeful that the voters have had enough of this madness and vote the Orange Man and his henchmen out in 2020. I am optimistic this will happen.
I noticed the other night there were a lot of Impeach Trump rally's around the country but there were no Pro Trump rally's anywhere. I think that is encouraging. I am worried though he will still look to foreign help to win, he will do anything to win in 2020.

There will be enough voter suppression in Republican-governed states that any foreign influence will just be gravy.
