Hearing the president's address about Coronavirus, it gave me confidence he is prepared to sponsor tough steps to address the problem in our country and globally. Hopefully everyone in the country will rally around one plan, one message and band together to beat this horrible disease. TheVinylAddict is a fucking idiot. Trump’s speech was a mess. (I hope those of you in the USA live in states with competent leadership, as you won’t be getting it out of the current administration.)

It'd be nice if the corona virus could kill Trump's chance at a second term. One way or another... It will, the recession starts today, the only question is how deep and long it goes. There's no way this is better by November, a bad economy will sweep him out like yesterday's trash.

The Trump administration and the GOP has wasted no time this week taking full advantage of the chaos by blocking paid leave, de-funding poor schools, and refusing to delay food stamp cuts. If you think that they aren't going to accelerate and increase the opportunity for more fascism as the country falls deeper into the abyss by the hour, you are dreaming. This fucker — or his handlers, in tandem with the stacked Supreme Court — will take full advantage of whatever "emergency powers" are available to him. Don't be surprised when it is announced that the November elections are suspended altogether. It was nice finding out today that if my company decides I need to be quarantined for 14 days (which was left open for interpretation as to why someone would have to be quarantined), I won't be held to the attendance policy. Of course, I'll have to use my whopping 5 paid sick days and then potentially vacation time.
No talk yet about the doomsday scenario if the plant has to shut down for a quarantine. They seem to be (understandably) keen on preventing that.

I don't know about you guys but I'm certainly feeling all warm, pink and fuzzy in the secure knowledge that the gummint in the persona of our leader is taking the awesome responsibilities of his office as seriously as he is.

I think we’re seeing the fine line between tragedy and farce these days. I don’t think I can tell them apart anymore.

Say what you will about our Prime Minister but at least he exudes calm and intelligence.

There is also irrefutable evidence that he’s had direct contact with multiple people who have since tested positive for the virus, but he refuses to be tested. If all goes well, he may not even make it to the general election.
