I suggest you write a strongly worded letter and send it to the P.O. Box that Hoffman works in. Actually, a box at a faux post office, pal! (People should address mail to "Audio Fidelity c/o Postal Expressions". At least show Marsha that people are wise to his little ruse.)

I listened to some of Hoof's Beach Boys remasters a while ago, specifically "Endless Summer", "Spirit Of America", and "Pet Sounds". Every track has exactly the same mid bass bloat. After a few tracks I started feeling nauseous, and before long I could not even concentrate on the music - all I could hear was the obvious EQ boost in the lower-mids boring it's way into my brain. I tried the second and third CDs. Exactly the same. Every track. Unlistenable. I think that's Slackjaw Face EQ. You should take more Vicodin.

What COLA said-
It sounds as if some dumbfuck sitting in my home state (Oklahoma) on a three day meth binge sat down at his computer, opened Audacity, opened the EQ plug-in and boosted the mids until he could feel them vibrate his chair while his buck-toothed, inbred sister rode him. Then, at the moment of climax, he used a valve plug-in and turned the harmonics all the way up and said "HOLY FUCK!"
Exported the files to mp3, burned them to a CD, ran them through a finalizer, and then on the day the little inbred creep was born, he shipped them off to Hoofy.

Grant is the greatest And when Grant gets challenged on that, he doubles down: SH is a contractor to AF...why would you expect him to announce something about a company he occasionally works for? I'm sure Steve will step in if I am mistaken, but I believe he probably has a bit more of a stake in AF than just as a contractor. Between he and Kevin Gray, they do virtually all of their output.
