In other words, the Special Project is calling the receivers in.

The history pages are well worth a trawl through en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Steve_Hoffman_(audio_engineer)&action=historyHighlights include In 2014, Hoffman remastered the Rolf Harris back catalogue for Audio Fidelity. Hoffman runs the Steve Hoffman Appreciation Forums (www.stevehoffman.tv) where he reminisces about his past work and explains why other labels' efforts are sub-par when compared to his. Steve Hoffman is a nobody. Hoffman has also worked with other labels on occasion, including Analogue Productions, Rural Rhythm, Mullet Records, Razor & Tie, and S&P. Steve Hoffman is a world-class equestrian and mastering engineer Several master tapes Steve has mastered have mysteriously disappeared. I think stuff that Steve has said could in fact, be written onto his wikipedia page. As far as I know, there only needs to be published evidence. So an entry like the following could effectively be used. In July 2015, following the death of Kim Fowley and an allegation of previous sexual assault by ex Runaway member Jackie Fox, Hoffman wrote a piece suggesting that young girls, or groupies were largely to blame for sexual misconduct. 'These groupies from the 1970's, dreadful people. Girls with one goal, screw as many musicians as they could and brag about it. A few of them wanted to be "discovered,". Hoffman then backed up his claim by suggesting he had been in a better position to decide than anyone else. Don't believe me? I was there, were you? I can say that MOST of these girls were BAD NEWS, they were mostly underage parasites, leeches, opportunists praying on the rock musicians of the time, he said.

I think a great project for perhaps someone more knowledgable here would be to update his wikipedia page and fill in some of the gaps around the FBI raid, decline in work, etc... It has been done before and the changes were altered quickly when Lovely Bob, Mcow and other moderators discovered them. Some of the old pages are available if you look through the history tab on the Wiki page. The page was locked for content for quite some time. en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Steve_Hoffman_(audio_engineer)&oldid=185002485

Sounds like a Dr Groove set up here - You do all the work Kev I'll take the credit.
You fix the system Warren & I'll say it was my golden ears that made it sound better and take half the cash.

Yeah, it looks like Warren already went to someone's house and listened to records through train horns. He tries to sound "objective" critiquing the guy's setup but it sounds like the guy knows his stuff so Warren kinda comes across as a bit of a dick. Can you imagine Daddy and Warren coming to your house for a few hundred bucks (at least) and then if you know as much or more than Warren, their "consultation" would result in the determination that it "sounds damn good to me!" Hell, let me bring over better records than Santana and The Tokens and a 12 pack and I'll tell ya that for nuthin'.

When I click on the Headfest link, I get a video of an ape who gets paid for polishing shoes. The next step for the ape is to open up a forum to tell his "adventures in polishing" stories.

Why not do some mastering instead...oh wait a minute - no one wants you because a) you're shit at it and b) everybody hates you.
Grow up you immature, retard cunt.
And who the fuck is David Sherve?

Reading COLA's post in the thread on Hoofman's reopening ancient threads struck me as being all too familiar. Yep, we're talking about an individual to whom obfuscation has become second first nature. As with all liars, it eventually becomes more and more difficult to keep his stories straight, something anyone using the truth seldom has difficulty with. And so it is with the special project. A smokescreen designed to preempt any possibly discomforting questions as to STEVE's activities - or rather non-activity. We touched on it here: for approximately the past six weeks or so, there have only been the two Upcoming Releases, both designated as Kevin Gray projects. So, in order to avoid having to answer any potentially embarrassing questions, voila: the SPECIAL PROJECT was born. And so far it seems to be working - the SHiTEs are still following the wild-goose chase. Of course, the down side to this is that I'm probably waiting for the Cha-Cha comp that never will be.

You just knew something was fishy, he never had used secrecy before in that way. Usually, he was happy to toot his horn, working on Breads' greatest hits again.

STeVE must be scouring the globe in search of long lost master tapes for this mysterious project. It's the only explanation for the delay. Your poat reminded me of the opening narration of the old Wide World of Sports TV series. And what mention of that show would be complete without including the most obvious metaphor of STeVE's career?:
