Nobody knows her songs, but they are ready to bash her.
Fuck the misogyny.

Nice to see Umbari getting butt fucked over his stupid Eddie Vedder/Taylor Swift thread, His idea of rock music is pretty much at baseball card trading level. It's a freaking aggro monkeyhouse over there right now, that thread, the Abbey Road thread. I got booted off the Bad English thread. Warden must have put speed in the bananas.

Love how they’re quoting scalper’s prices and saying “yeah paying $4000 for a ticket is so punk rock”.
It seems to get worse by the day.

And "14 year old girls and their moms is so punk rock." Why would someone say that? It isn't what they say it is pondering what makes them say it that sends me into shock. There is no end to the free fall

Kill me now.
AnaanNg :
"If you're going to be a nagging and sarcastic jag about it, allow me to point out that in no way does he point out where or what his analogy lacks, which was the main part of my postulation—that he actually knows what the analogy lacks and where it fails. We don't know that because he never hedges or says anything that would indicate that he realizes these problematic issues. So I was right to phrase it like I did.
In addition to that, I was talking about community and a communal feeling on the first page of this thread because it's the only remotely thing punk about a Taylor Swift show. I didn't need to read the article (I presume that's your tut-tut-tsk) to figure out his simplistic line of thought.
I was giving the guy a pass and just writing about why I was doing so, unlike others in the thread. Your need to set me straight while nitpicking about a detail that I'm (a) right about and (b) have already covered is perfectly in keeping with any desire for accuracy regarding Vedder's argument and analogy. If, like me, you've been there, done that, and heard almost all of it before, you don't necessarily need to read the damn article to understand the rudimentary thoughts that edify his supposed existential depth."

This guy is just another typical clueless over-the-hill asshole know-it-all. I saw Swift with my daughter in 2015, and my daughter saw an Eras Tour show last year. I get what Vedder is referring to. He's not saying Taylor Swift is punk, just that there's a communal feeling at her shows that is shared with punk gigs he saw when he was around the same age as most of TS's current fans. Not a big deal, but of course the SHiTes have to attempt to discredit anything that's actually happening right now, and guys like AnAsssnaanGNG or whatever the fuck just can't resist saying he's "been there, done that." BTW, it takes all of 30 seconds to read Vedder's comments. It's hardly an article at all, but of course this shithead couldn't be bothered to actually read it.

How dare you enjoy music! Hoffman's forum is all about sucking all the enjoyment out of music. Those old farts there can't stand the fact that their heroes have been yesterday's news for at least fourty years. Yeah, that includes McCartney, Rolling Stones, Dylan and every other Boomer icon they still jerk themselves off over over there. Equally repugnant to them is the fact that currently the biggest pop star on the planet is a) a woman and b) a Democrat. The blonde and blues are supposed to be on their side, after all.

“ Pandering to Swifties makes sense from a business perspective. If Eddie could get Swift to do guest vocals on a track it'd be huge for the band.”
So huge. They’d sell 10s of records.

Where did this blabber mouth come from? I’ve only noticed him recently. Joined in 2019, but over half of the 750+ posts have been in the last month or so.
