And that's where the problem lies. Being careful what you wish for when it comes to anything Beatles-related. I fully agree that "London Town" needs a new mix, but at what cost? I was excited and optimistic about a new mix of "I Am The Walrus". And when I heard what was actually accomplished and released, I wanted to throw up. This is the point where I gave up all hope, and after reading opinions about it, it solidified my opinion that a lot of people just want something new and could care less if it's a good mix or not, whether or not they can even identify one. And the attitudes towards criticism that you will see even on this forum proves it. This is most certainly on the minds of the record labels and businessmen. They know what their target demographic is, and it's not us.

Not at all. Relentless in trashing every remix, every reissue, every archival live release, ad infinitum. Maybe Giles' next remix will make him swallow his own tongue.

Walrus is not my favorite remix on the new Blue Album, but I sure as hell didn't let it ruin my day.

The Atmos of it is real good.

The Atmos of it is real good. I haven't heard that. I heard the CD and the 24/96 mix on Qobuz.

I agree on the remix, just stating the Atmos is good.

I can’t recall getting angry about a remix. Disappointed, sure. But there’s usually the original to fall back on. I usually get more pissed at stuff recorded now sounding like garbage when we’re technologically more advanced than we were even just 20 years ago.

This is the stuff that gets me. These Hoffmanites whined and moaned for years that the Beatles needed remastered and in 2009 they got their wish … and were pissed off about it. Then they whined and moaned that they needed these remasters on record, they get it … and were pissed off about it. Then they whined and moaned that they needed remixed and it happens … and they’re pissed off about it. Some small label takes mono songs and makes stereo versions from it and they’re hailed heroes of music but Giles Martin does it and he’s evil? It’s a novelty not meant to replace anything but to have an additional version of a song that, in some cases, actually allows the songs to “breathe” (to borrow a SHiTe term) and hear things you may not have anyway. Like Daved said, unless I missed something and every single version that pre-dated the remix suddenly disappeared and cannot be played any longer, the originals are still there.

Didn't you hear, StEeve's daughter couldn't find original mixes on streaming. This is a PROBLEM.

Like Daved said, unless I missed something... The only thing you missed was that Giles Martin is likely Satan incarnate. STEVE Hooofman, shilling weird digitally extracted remixes from who the fuck knows what, is Gawd. But you are forgiven, son.

Qarla told STeVE the {{{globalists}}} are trying to keep the real hit USA versions out of circulation.

They want every scrap of tape scraped from the dumpster and released, and then bitch when it happens. I just don't get them.

It’s late capitalism. Consume consume consume to fill the void but never feel any satisfaction.

Didn't you hear, StEeve's daughter couldn't find original mixes on streaming. This is a PROBLEM. More like Steev couldn’t. Cuz he’s Dilly level stoopid. I just scoured Apple Music and found every original mix. Including The Pepsi albums.
