Billie Eilish: “Vinyl is wasteful”
While I agree with her, she has been guilty of this in the past (her last album had a ton of different variants), so it is an odd stance for her to take.

An Old Navy hoody and a mask from the dollar store doesn't cut it, big guy.

As much as I love physical media, she definitely has a point when it comes to multiple variations to goose sells, which a lot of SHF favorites are guilty of.rlj1010 said:
She’s guilty of this herself:joeislive said:
Yes, she mentions it in the interview herself. I’m sure in a lot of cases, these things are the brainchild of label/managementGeorge Co-Stanza said:

It's worth noting that she is not actually saying "vinyl is wasteful" -- she's specifically complaining about the practice of producing multiple vinyl color and packaging editions of the same album.pinkrudy said:
Check this video of her happily than ever buying a vinyl copy of her own album.BlueSpeedway said:
Why is she doing that and why is she dressed up as a monster?FrixFrixFrix said:
Wtf are you talking about?Dark Horse 77 said:
She's very edgy, don't you know?BlueSpeedway said:
I don't know anything about her except I remember pictures on bbc.co.uk of her winning awards with her brother. I've never knowingly heard her music. Artists big and small surely always get a certain amount of copies of their releases given to them. Why would you go to a store. Is the monster thing a disguise. If so, again, why go to a store. The quality is surely too poor to be a publicity clip. I genuinely don't understand.SmokinChains said:
What about streaming and keeping all those servers on and sending the data to billions of people and stuff.....what's the carbon footprint of that?Suddenly This Overview said:
She’s not dressed up as a monster, she’s wearing a face mask because we were in the middle of a pandemic. You remember that happened, right?pdenny said:
Not to sound like my gramps or anything, but I have dress socks older than her  A lot of attitudes can change with experience and (hopefully) wisdom and practicality. All four of her cars are dinosaur-powered so she's not totally committed to eliminating wasteful practices in all areas of her life. I'm not either, by the way LOLGentleSenator said:
pretty sure most billie fans aren't audiophiles, so there is that.Guitarded said:
Someone should tell her what those Airplanes, Tour Buses and Tractor Trailers are powered by.Say It Rigjt said:
It was clearly a Halloween-type mask, if you even bothered to watch the video. Good for you, though, that you could trolled for lowest common denominator likes.Suddenly This Overview said:
It’s a normal mask like we were all wearing during the pandemic with a graphic printed on it, not a Halloween mask. Watch the video clip again.FrixFrixFrix said:
