Can it be coincidence that there's a whoppie in that thread? Not asking anyone to expose their secret identity, but I've often wondered about that person.

This cracked me up, as Strat Mangler gets pissed at someone who doesn’t like Discogs. That whole short thread is a WTF moment, though some of the stuff could be changing Discogs to Hoofyville and it would mean the same. I’ve Found the Worst Discogs Seller Ever

Brat Strangler is a cunt, full stop. But the dweeb calling himself Yamahaha deserves a vomit-inducing nut slap.

So there's still one Savoy Brown disc in the mail. So much winning.

From the Meters thread, Strat-Mangler, a levelheaded man who has only racked up more than 8000 poats in eight years, says this about rnGat:

They are but it doesn't make it any less funny to me if one takes those factors into account... just like for many, listening to Robert Johnson would be amazingly boring as society has moved far beyond a 12-bar blues on an acoustic having been recorded on equipment of the time and sounding like a tin can, but it can nevertheless be a pleasure to listen to, with that context. For those who can't get beyond that, there's a whole slew of artists to choose from, from different periods. It doesn't diminish my enjoyment of the material nor does it matter to me if somebody finds it offensive when he sings that he'll cut a woman's throat and drink her blood like whine. It's a *song* ; not a religion. People forget that mainstream somehow forgives rap for far far worse. The blatant racism, sexism, misogyny, the over-the-top violence, crass language, all of it is excused but SJWs with a very narrow vision of how the world is will target a specific song like Baby, It's Cold Outside for, in contrast, very tame content... and believe that by banning it, it'll make the world a better place. It's hilariously misguided and frankly an oversimplification of how the world is and works. It's no different in comedy. A guy like Lenny Bruce would never be able to perform his act today, if the vocal minority would have us believed. Yet, he is a celebrated pioneer in his field and still revered today. Same with most of Pryor's material. And so on, and so forth... Hell, even Mr Warmth, one of my favorites of all-time, Don Rickles, would never be able to perform if he were starting out now with the act he had. When you go to a comedy show, you are supposed to accept a few things, namely that you are entering the world as dictated by the comic. For the hour or more he's up there, he's telling you his thoughts (or his comedically distorted thoughts) on many a topic. There are all types of comedians and my tastes are quite varied, though specific. Jim Gaffigan is as clean as they come whereas guys like Louis CK whom I find just as funny have a completely different style. There is a saying ; "know your audience". It should be updated for 2019 to "know your performer". Guys like Jimmy Carr are unbelievably hilarious yet can be very offensive. Would I suggest seeing him to my conservative in-laws? Never. If I were to describe his act to them, they also wouldn't attend and then complain about him and his material on Twitter. They'd just steer clear because he's not what they're after... just like I wouldn't suggest a death metal band for them to see if they wanted to go out to a music concert. Unfortunately, for some reason, people feel compelled to believe they have a right to watch or listen to anyone perform within the boundaries of their individual values. To me, it's as ridiculous as watching TV and complaining to the station. Change the channel. But no. Instead, people bitch, moan, and complain about the most insignificant things. Lyrics in a song from half a century ago which are tame compared to what's released every year today or a comic whose material doesn't make a person laugh now. Big deal. Here's an idea ; don't expose yourself to that material, then. No?
