Grado Labs Prestige Black2 phono cartridge coming to me for review. List price, $75.00.At first glance this could actually make sense. STEVE reviewed a $12 K phono cartridge favorably so the company wants him to see what one of their entry level products can do. Sounds great, right? Well, just for shits and grins I decided to look for this $12,000 review. And guess what? Yup, that's right. Now, given the pretext of having America's numero uno EQ twiddler review one of your premium products, would it not make sense to post this outpouring of love on your website, so everyone can see what a great product you have? Of course. That's the whole reason behind the exercise, isn't it? Endorsements from the big boys in the Biz bring in customers willing to slap down their cash for your primo phono cartridge. But try as hard as I could, there is no review from Daddy anywhere to be found on the Grado website. On the page for the Grado Epoch, no STEVE. There are two comments - one from a Bob Levi and the other by a Todd Green, whoever they may be. Not willing to give up just yet, I cruised over to the Grado Press page to check there. Well, lots of accolades from lots of peopsons, but noticeably absent was one from the Tonmeister. There is an endorsement at SHiTEville, but I find it difficult to believe Grado would send anyone a $12,000 audio component (on a long term loan, heh) just for a post on his Forum. So is STEVE lying to us?

The thing is, the 12k cart doesn't cost much more to make than the 75 buck one. Unless they mined the materials for it on a neutron star seven galaxies away.
So Grado aren't losing money either way, they're laughing all the way to the bank. STeVE shills, the SHites buy. Profit.

In my not so humble opinion, anybody who would pony up twelve grand for a fucking phono cartridge needs to stick the barrel of a gun in their yap and pull the trigger immediately.

STeVE gets more shit sent to him: Grado Labs AEON cartridge, on its way to me. For those of you who asked me about other good carts that didn't cost as much as the Grado Epoch EPOCH cartridge, I'll be reviewing soon the Grado AEON which lists for $5,999.00, so that's half price. Very curious to hear it! Stay tuned.. No need to stay tuned, STeVE. I already know you're an narcissistic horse's ass.

Oh, so rather than costing as much as a brand new car, it only costs as much as a slighty used one?
I'm sure it's worth every penny.

At least I appreciate that he tells us which companies are stupid enough to give him free stuff, so I know who I won't be buying shit from.
Thanks STeVE!

Give them until Tuesday. Give them a chance to finish their Kosher for Passover Coke first.

If there is one thing that is more obvious than anything about STeVE, it's that he is a blatant shill for so-called "high end" audio products. It's very telling that even though he posts reviews about $12k cartridges, by his own admission uses a Shure V15 cart in the studio when playing back LP's.

I was going to describe him as a Barbara Bosson lookalike, but I figured she had enough on her plate today.
