I'm quite proud of the fact that my music sounds NOTHING like Father Time, The Beagles or Stamberg's. It takes a special type of talent to sound as bad as they do. They clearly put effort into achieving their sound. You can't just plug in, strum a few notes, and come up with the shit that they do. Thank Christ for that

I’m sure there is mad money to be made officially releasing a bunch of demos that by now, everyone has heard who wants to hear them.

Thing is, the Esher demo bootlegs sound like shit- mono and out of phase on some of the tracks. I was pissed when I bought mine 'cos I was stupid and/or naive enough to think the goddamn bootleg would sound as good as the Esher demos on Anthology 3 did

Checked the vinyl and it has fingerprints and slight blemishes. Excuse me? Will bring this back to the store this afternoon. And probably not ask for a replacement. Sorry..... When I go to a restaurant and they undercook or overcook my food, I send it back. I don’t walk out. But that’s just me. :tiphat: Wouldn't do that if I were you. You may get your food back with foreign "fluids" included...I won't elaborate, but you've heard the stories.

Favourite track on Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono BandMy favorite track is the deadwax on either side. It’s a track called « And she remained silent ever after ». Can’t be beat. Translation: "I don't get it." Or maybe — just maybe — "I get it. I just don't like it." It happens. It does, but given the wording of their post (which is solely aimed at Yoko over anyone else involved with the record), I believe that not only do they not get it, but I also believe they dislike the record for all the wrong reasons. If they said something along the lines of "I can understand what she was trying to do with her vocal style, but it's not my thing", then that would be all well and good, but their post came across to me as having undertones of various unpleasant kinds which immediately calls their opinion into question, as far as I'm concerned. You mean like "I'll tell you why nobody likes her music — because she's a woman and she's Oriental!"* That kind of unpleasant? Au contraire — Stan sounds pretty thoughtful & reasonable in post #28. And he's definitely a fan, if not the Y.O. fanboy you seem to expect everyone else to be. Perhaps you could get off your high horse once in a while? * J.L., 1970I will if you will, little man. Not counting on it, though.

Everybody's fave Beagles guitarist in the same thread:
"I exchanged a few pleasant words with Yoko once when she sat right behind me at a performance of her New York Rock off Broadway musical."
Those few words being: "Hi, I'm Ron. I play guitar just like your dead husband. One day I'm going to front a band called The Beagles and get Lon Van Eaton to produce our first CD!"
To which Yoko replied: "Maybe you should be a lawyer instead."

Was she dressed like a whore? Well, she is a woman. What other kinds are there in SHiTeville?

Was she dressed like a whore? Well, she is a woman. What other kinds are there in SHiTeville? 2 kinds. Whores and Moms. Moms who bought us cereal with Monkees rekkids on the back. Moms who gave us all the Hostess Ding Dongs we could eat and all the Classic Coke we could drink. Moms who protected us from all the bad scary things in the world while Dads looked on in frustrated contempt. Moms who were our best friends. Moms who poisoned all of our future dealings with females.

Yeah, the fact that this idiot felt the need to don their superhero cape and spring to the defense of someone who proved themselves more than capable of defending their own posts - and clarified their stance well - was quite something.
