Lennon did an interview where he sings the "backwards" part while talking about the recording of the song. STeVE has no doubt mixed that up with some vague recollection of something George Martin said - in the Vicodin-addled haze he inhabits. He probably had been in the same room with George Martin once, along with about 200 other people Beatards, and no doubt is trying to convince us that this somehow translates into being a close personal friend of the guy. The usual SH bullshit.

The usual SH bullshit. I've been wrong before. I eat my humble pie, retract my incorrect statement, and move on. STeVE does no such thing. And even worse, he prides himself as such an authority on matters, spouting info that no one else has (because he made it up.) Over the summer I was reading through the Leon Russell threads, with a lot of back and forth between him and Lukpac. The basic format was Lukpac asking a question, and STeVE replying with a half answer. He was at his most obnoxious when he would say that he doesn't want to relisten to the albums because of the "bad memories." Lukpac eventually manages to suss it all out, with help from a few others, and I believe manages to (unintentionally) contradict some of STeVE's "recollections." They are pretty old poats, and Lukpac comes off a lot less jaded then now. STeVE was just as addled. (long story short, some tracks from the first Leon Russell album were issued in alternate mixes on various releases, including one issue of the album that used alternates in place of the proper mixes.)

It's also how STeVE presents his information. Just look at how the linked quote starts: "Once again." On top of being wrong and that he can never admit he's wrong, he talks to the masses as if he was telling a retarded child to stop eating his own poop for the 387th time. You can practically hear the "sigh" in his typing, which would be fine if doing something other than passing on his bullshit as tablets hand delivered by the deity of your choice. And I'm just shocked that Mr. No-Revisions-I-Keep-It-100%-Accurate used alternate mixes. Just shocked.

Once again Hoofy, who gives a flying fuck about how Lennon reversed a bit of vocal on Revolver 52 years ago? Equally who gives a shit about Revolver?

I'd like to think that, if STeVe really did interview George Martin back in '77 that George was just having a laugh at his expense.
If so, then it was George playing the long game if Hoofer STILL BELIEVES this. Seriously, I figured out it was reversed when I was like....ten?

I seriously doubt Steve interviewed George Martin in 1977, or any other year, for that matter...he comes out with this bullshit just to keep the Beatards held in thrall. I'm starting to think that DCC never "almost got The Beatles" either. I don't give a fuck what Hoffman claims.

"Almost got The Beatles" probably was more like "we called EMI about it and they told us to fuck off".

"Almost got The Beatles" probably was more like "we called EMI about it and they told us to fuck off". Every event (and non-event) about the Beatles is well documented. No evidence to back up STeVE's claim has ever come to light.

What was STeVe up to in 1977?
and why would he need to interview George Martin?
People don't generally give interviews to individuals for no purpose and I'm sure George Martin had better things to do than be 'interviewed' by the mulleted buffoon.
Maybe he started up Tonmeister Weekly - By Tonmeisters for Tonmeisters. Issue 1 Are all Tonmeisters cunts?

That was when George Martin was in the Symbionese Liberation Army. So it was George Martin who left the tape in Steve’s radio station! That explains the Parlophone label on it.
