I heard Pablo Cruise on the muzak system at some store a couple of weeks ago. I don’t know what bothered me more, the fact that I was forced to listen to Pablo Cruise or that I recognized that I was listening to Pablo Cruise.

Van Morrison's "Moondance" (the song): Was it popular with the older generation in 1970?This was on the radio the other day and I got to wondering if this song was popular with the older folks back in 1970. It seems like a song that the > 40 demographic might have enjoyed. I am just curious what the reaction of a parent in 1970 would have been like if their teenage children played it around them. yes, we listened to it in 1970, all the time.

Looks like you've made a poll just for yourself here on artists you want. Can't imagine any other choice but "Other" here Good luck with your poll then

I'm hoping when they do the definitive multi-disc Beagles live boxset they get the masters with the restored guitar solos. It's criminally negligent that only the edited versions are on YouTube.

Never Mind The Bollocks:
Played it a few days ago and thought "I can never get sick of this album".
Fuck off and die Rennie.

The Pistols were no Longbranch Pennywhistle.

I can't stand when people say Never Mind the Bollocks is overrated. There's a lot of people that were teenagers when that came out and that record changed everything. I was just a suburban kid and classic rock was pretty much IT at the time. When I heard The Pistols, that showed me that there was music I had no idea existed, and it showed me that there was music I loved, that wasn't getting played by anyone and that for some reason, a bunch of people who had never heard a lot of that music seemed to have a real stake in seeing it fail. So what? It showed me that there was a lot of music that I would love that wasn't getting played and I had to start looking for it. Plus, it's a great record.
