Can't one of Ron's many friends at Abbey Road stick a copy of White Album 50 in Dropbox for an old pal?

He doesn't need a promo when he can play pretend. It would have been great if take 20 of Revolution 1 would have been on this box. The one thats known as "Take your knickers off". I really like that version. Take 18 is very similar. It's missing some overdubs, but it's not much different. Isn't it good to have both options? Ron I think it's quite a bit different. No backing vocals whatsoever (no shooby-doo-wops or ANYTHING)... No annoying looped "Aaaaah" playing throughout... Very stripped down sound with John's voice very prevalent in the extended portion... And it's all in stereo! Plus you get to hear Paul sing Love Me Do and those Strawberry Fields mellotron flutes. It's a very different feel than take 20, even if they both stem from the same basic take. I said the overdubs were missing. . That would include backing vocals and such. What was unknown is what was wiped when the overdubs were done. Anywho... its great to have an alternate version Ron So Ron, if you have the box or have heard it ... any other thoughts? :agree: Nah, I haven't got the box yet. Basing my post regarding Revolution take 18 on Lewisohn's research. Haha, classic. All this fraud is a guy who spent way too much time memorizing Lewisohn's "Recording Sessions" book. He just regurgitates fairly easy to find information for a small crew of gullible idiots. Piss off, RON.

Hahaha, brainsquashed. What a chucklefuck.
..I assumed the "Take your knickers off" take would be on the box too. Oh well, the boot sounds just fine.

Ron is so dumb that he claimed that take 20 (Knickers) is from acetate... And he also bragging about his top end system.

Yea, the albums proper won't be mined for a long time... but new compilations and exclusive streaming sets are inevitable. I've always thought a new Anthology set tie-in will happen too. Whether they expand the old sets or re-compile something altogether new, I wouldn't hazard to guess. Ron brainwashed, Thursday at 4:38 PM #25431
Doesn't he realise that he has had a guess? The fuckwit nincompoop.

Back to johnny moondog 909:
One of my favorite hobbies, mental excersises, for most of my adult life, ( & for some of you too ).
Has been to recompile, alter, extend, edit albums by my favorite recording artists. Mostly The Beatles, solo Beatles, & other classic groups like the WHO, Beach Boys & a few others.
Why ? To make a better album for listening & enjoyment, & some kind of weird historical curator thing. The example of adding Strawberry Fields-Penny Lane onto Sgt Pepper, might've been how it started...learning the best 2 songs on the album, weren't on it. Somebody had to fix that ! So a hobbyist was born.

Old Brown Shoe in place of Come Together would improve Abbey Road immeasurably. If they took out half of the rest of the songs, it would make a perfect EP.
The Beatles really should have died in the same drug orgy as Brian Epstein. They were useless after he stopped ghostwriting the songs.

So it took him his entire adult life to construct an elaborate fantasy of an utterly fantastic parallel universe in which, well, everything is exactly like it is in this universe, except in Johnny Beatard Imagination Land, "Old Brown Shoe" replaced "Come Together" and "Dogs" closed side one of The Who Sell Out. Oh, and those of you who were wondering about my visceral aversion to the notion of "hobbies" and "hobbyists" a few months back? Well, there you have it. Stupid me. I was gonna go to the gym but I think I’ll sit and reimagine all the Macca albums.

I doubt that even Mark Lewisohn heard all Ringo albums more than once
