It's the Ron Howard "Eight Days A Week" archive edition, with the promise of more Whoopie! :righton: I'm thinking it's the 'Carnival of Light' Boxset. All 14 minutes of its glorious noodling in original mono and stereo PLUS the track remixed in stereo and mono by Giles Martin PLUS a bonus disc of CoL recording sessions PLUS a blu-ray of all original mixes and remixes with a picture gallery of pictures! PLUS a map of Barcelona! PLUS a hard bound book of photos and words of something or other PLUS a 3 minute 45 disco mix pressed on yellow splatter vinyl PLUS a facsimile ticket to The Million Volt Light and Sound Rave PLUS a facsimile folded poster from The Million Volt Light and Sound Rave PLUS another folded poster of a picture of the Beatles PLUS a replica strip of acid (not real acid, btw) all housed in a wooden box made from exotic and endangered species wood. The price has yet to be determined! :--) No jigsaw puzzle? I'm out!

WHOPPIE is never far from their thoughts. Their hatred of all things Whoppie makes me like her that much more. (We try so hard to get under their skin, but she does it effortlessly. Whoppie’s my hero!)

What is the last "Live" album you listened to?It's great to hear one of Dylan's most important live performances before he went electric. I love how intimate the setting sounds and how positively jovial Dylan sounds throughout the show. It's also interesting to hear the direction Dylan was going in with early versions of songs that would later appear on "Bringing It All Back Home". I was never a "live" album type of listener but these types of albums hold historical importance and displays exactly where that artist was at that point in their career better than the actual studio recordings. (At least in this case.) But to be honest, I could do without Joan Baez's background singing and her solo song. Listening to Throwing Copper right now Throwing Copper. See what I did there? Throwing Copper Throwing Copper. Oh wait, that’s not the Live you’re talking about. Last Live album? That would be 1994's Throwing Copper . Throwing Copper

There was a similar number of Cavern "jokes" in the recent Were The Beatles Underground thread.

Define OVERRATED -- "too popular?" and/or "too much critical acclaim?" - or BOTH??Speaking of critics overrating things how many think that Rolling Stone had their 5 star review for the new Bruce Springsteen The Promise box set written in June ? New U2 album Spring 2011It sucks that the new album won't be out till 2012. I am sure Rolling Stone already had their 5 star review written months ago. Springsteen New Album Spoof/The OnionRolling Stone thought it was an actual album and automatically wrote a 5 star review. Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band Tour 2012 with new album, WRECKING BALL*Has Rolling Stone posted their 5 star review of Springsteen's new album yet? Bias at Rolling Stone Magazine? (500 Greatest Albums of All Time)*My favorite writer at Rolling Stone is Bono. I like how he continually gives the latest U2 album a 5 star rating. I see no bias in that. Dylan New Album - "Tempest" - release date Sept. 11, 2012*Well in fairness to Rolling Stone they had their 5 star review written 6 months before the album was announced. They probably just filled in the song titles. Same goes for the next three U2 albums. U2 NEW LP SEPTEMBER 2013Rolling Stone's 5 star review is already up on their website. New U2 Album in 2014 (Supposedly)Rolling Stone posted their 5 star review on their website as soon as Bono was on Letterman's show and made the announcement. U2 MANhattanNot sure if it is real or not but Rolling Stone already posted their 5 star review. (in my opinion) Terrible U2 News!!! (New album with Danger Mouse)*Rolling Stone just posted their 5 star review of the album. Apparently it is the best thing U2 has ever done. New U2 Album Next Month with No FanfareHas Rolling Stone put up their 5 star review yet? I know, I know. :wiggle: Keith Richards confirms new Rolling Stones albumRolling Stone already has their 5 star review up. Reading through old Rolling Stone magazine record reviews. Yikes! In 1974 Rolling Stone wrote the template for giving every Springsteen album 5 out 5 for future albums. They just had to add in the title and some song names. They did the same in 1985 for U2. New Springsteen Album "Western Stars" June 14*I can't wait for the 5/5 Rolling Stone review. I am sure it was written as soon as the album was announced and they were just waiting on song titles to fill in before publishing it. 18 hours of Radiohead's OK Computer Sessions Stolen ... and Then Released by Band*In related news: Eighteen hours of U2 outtakes have been released of Bono with the hiccups. Rolling Stone's 5/5 review is already up.

Are The Kinks Underrated By The General Public? It seems like The Kinks get love from critics and people who are really into music, like those of us on this forum. I'm not saying they are universally beloved by all music fans but they seem to be held in higher esteem by music fans. However, the general public probably only know "You Really Got Me", "Lola" & "Come Dancing" if they even know anything by the band. So, my question is this, are The Kinks underrated by the general public? Ranking Roger likes the Kinks. Not as underrated as General Public!!! I like General Public. I like The Kinks. Dunno what GP thought of The Kinks. RIP Ranking Roger I can't recall any Kinks covers by General Public. So, yeah, probably. I don't recall the Kinks covering General Public, either. So it's probably equally legitimate to assert that General Public is underrated by The Kinks. Also, was General Public underrated by the Kinks? Songs About Ireland!!This is the only song about Kathy Ireland I know:
