I love it simply for the fact that white people are freaking out. Definitely. Anything that pisses off white racists is OK by me. It helps that Kendrick Lamar absolutely deserves it as well.

So when a SHite says rock is dead, everything is hip hop it's seen as a recognition of the times a-changin', but when Washington Post says it it's snowflake librul PC lies? Got it.

Huh? Somehow that equates to him being alone in a studio, surrounded by a bunch of instruments, and coming up with something on his own. Actually you just proved my point, so thank you for that. He relies on others, whose talents are superior to his own. Any honest opinion I could give about this would get me banned So, No Comment All I did was question calling the song "genius" when it contained 3 dozen curse words. Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield managed to say a lot more and didn't need to curse to do it. Just think of how great those lyrics would be if he'd said b**** n***** motherf***** 30 more times and there had been ten more songwriters. Reminds me of a fifth grader. This is juvenile nonsense. Can't believe it took six people to write it. Ugh. And all the rhyming for rhyming sake. It's actually quite embarrassing. One more reason to not read the Washington Post. WaPo is killing it right now. You're correct WaPo is killing journalism. I heard this from an unnamed source. If Taylor Swift covered one of Kendrick's songs word for word, how do you think it would be received? I'm sure that within the hip-hop genre, Kendrick's stuff is as cutting edge and socially relevant as anything else out there. But don't call it music. It's performance art. Hey, I can't handle Laurie Anderson either . . .

telepicker97 is a major prick even by the standards of that place. Just complete assholery in every post. Second that. And the avatar he chose, that annoying prick character from Parks n Rec is very fitting. In one post h e implied he’s in his early 30s but he comes off like old aged SHiTE royalty. He makes out he's world weary, but looks like a chubby young guy with long hair. He was ready to hang out with his family and his dog after a life on the road, but in his 'why can't I get my SACD?' hissy meltdown, he mentioned that he has to pay child support.

Playing coffee shops and in the quad between classes just grinds you down, man. I've seen the world that way. Or at least this part of the suburbs.

Frangelico is really shining in that thread. I've never noticed him before. Last night he posted something about the Pulitzer judges being "followers of Gramsci" - but it's been scrubbed now. I think he's hoping "followers of Gramsci" catches on as the Euro-shite version of "paid by Soros."

Must have been something Frangelico heard one of his favourte alt-right youtubers say, along with the usual 'cultural marxist', 'regressive left' jibes.

I don't like hip hop, but Kendrick Lamar getting a Pulitzer amazingly enough doesn't seem to restrict me from enjoying any music I like. I think my adult offspring and their cousins mostly like Kendrick Lamar, so my assumption would be that he's pretty good at it. Amazingly, the world seems to be moving on, whether I want to go or not. If Lamar is reflecting the concerns of that generation and they're responding, then that's cool. It's kind of funny that the SHites had no opinion on other winners, though. I mean, they never heard that music either.
