Ghostworld has been on my radar for a while now. (His creepy, yet smarmy avatard gives me the willies.) Here he is in action: 2) Penn State has its football program cancelled for 10 years. No games, no recruits, no nothing. That's insane. You're ruining the happiness of millions Pennsylvanians who live for Penn State football. What did they do? And what did Bill Cosby fans do wrong? Why should their happiness be ruined by a fit punishment for a crime? :confused: (And there was a crime, actually many, that a number of people in the PSU program overlooked and allowed to go on for years.) And seriously, watching a football team is a major factor in someone's happiness? The culture around Penn State football is what allowed the abuse to flourish. In addition to what Arley suggested, I'd have required that once the death penalty was over, the program: --change the team colors --change the "Nittany Lions" name --be forced to use "Pennsylvania State" instead of "Penn State" from now on. Essentially, throw away their tainted traditions and start over as if they were a new school. It wasn't the fan culture of Penn State football that caused the abuse, it was a couple of out of touch old boys network types. That like trying to blame baseball fans' adoration of the Black Sox for the game-fixing scandal and not a couple corrupt players deep within. yes, Sandusky was a master at using the networks for his sick fun. All he needed to say to people who balked would be 'oh ok, I'll have Joe call you' or 'Gee, Joe told me this was OK.' No one would ever think of checking. There were plenty of people in those networks who were terrified/adoring of the word Joe, who would gladly give Sandusky what he wanted. |

Yeah? What’s the big deal? I mean it’s not like he took a knee during the military propaganda display that passes for football pre-game to protest the terror police unleash on minorities in this country or anything like that. So why punish all the people of Pennsylvania who depend on college football for their happiness???

How anyone could choose that to represent themselves is beyond. In what Bizarre World is this controversial?! A sick fuck used his position to exploit young and vulnerable victims. If I was a part or a fan of an institution that allowed this to take place and then tried to bury it, I'm cutting all ties and destroying any merchandise and memorabilia I have. Fuck Penn State. |

Penn Staters are truly delusional. They protested when paterno’s statue was about to be taken down. The culture is exactly what created the kind of conditions that allowed Sandusky to get away with it for so long. So many people turned a blind eye to it for the good of the team and for the good of the school.
Fuck penn state. Fuck its alumni, faculty, and fans. Fuck students that are giving money to it. Fuck anyone who defends Paterno. Fuck people who vote for the politicians that fund Penn State with taxpayer money. That whole cesspool needs to disappear from the face of the planet
