A reply from ‘hiterss’ which is one letter away from being outright Nazi:
“25 year old here love jojo, I find out about yes because of jojo , no way in hell Im settling down with jojo's mix, SW mix, is the way to go. It's cool anime like that references lots of great groups from the 70's and 80's.
Hope you find jojo enternaining Steve”

Guys, help me out here, please.
There was a thread that had a post by STeVE where he mentions being on the air at (and paid by) a volunteer-run radio station where he did 2 airshifts on 30 minutes of sleep, only to be woken up and made to play a tape left by the SLA? I can't find it now, but...
...it irked me for a few days, KNOWING I'd heard that story before. While playing play-doh with my stepdaughter, I looked over at our bookshelf, glancing at my copy of "Radio Waves: Life and Revolution on the FM Dial" by long-time LA DJ Jim Ladd. Sure enough, I grabbed the book and skimmed it, and there was the exact same story. It seems Mr. Ladd was working for a Long Beach FM station on roughly an hour of sleep. A few pages later, he tells the exact same story as it happened to his colleagues at KMET in 1974. Almost word for word. I really wish I knew how to upload photos, so I could take pictures of the pages and put them up here.
Needless to say, this really opened my eyes, and I'm glad I came here and found that. If anyone could help me out with uploads, I'd gladly upload the pages of the book. If you can find any copy of it, it's on pp. 74-78.

After work today I'll try to get photos of the book uploaded.

Juicy. Someone should ask STeVE if he ever had lunch with Jim Ladd.

Another Hooofman tall tale bites the big one. And this time the actual protagonist is not only still alive but put the real story in print. Will the Tonmeister be available for comment? Yikes! Heh.

Unless it was where I am not able to access it STeVe’s Hearst story has been deleted from Hoofyville. Imagine that.

Shit. I posted these in the wrong thread! It's been a long day. ibb.co/jvgJKd9ibb.co/hVxPC31ibb.co/0q14dd2ibb.co/fMMK9bxibb.co/jV9YyCXThese are shots from pages of Ladd's book. The first one is the "2 shifts in under 8 hours" page, and the rest is the SLA at our radio station pages. One uploaded sideways but that one is most important. Same damn story.

I appreciate that. I rarely post things like this so I did it in a rush. But yeah, the long and short is, the SLA picks STeVE's station and STeVE is the one to broadcast the tape. Strange how the EXACT same thing happens to the staff at a station in the bay area, the exact same way, at the exact same time. The universe, man. Sigh.
