“ MYKE Analog Upstairs, Digital Downstairs My birthday's on Monday, so what the hell...I just bought a sealed copy, from a guy with great feedback, and who sounds like-minded in our mutual messages. He had Make An Offer, I did, he countered, I agreed. I'm actually done with Neil on vinyl now. Feels sorta strange to actually be caught up.”
So, predictably he snapped and bought that Neil Young album he lusted after. Looking on Discogs the last sealed copy went for $125 in October so I’m guessing he definitely paid over $100. I guarantee this album will be reissued in the next 12 months and, that MYKE will buy the new reissue as no doubt it will be a rejizzed Bellman cut.

That whole “it’s my birthday” justification is text book addiction. Needing to find justification for his purchases to tell himself he doesn’t have a problem. Does anyone believe he wouldn’t have bought it if it wasn’t his birthday?
Also, that album’s about 25yrs old and MYKE’s just discovered it? It’s a staple bargain bin CD and he just spent over $100 on it on vinyl. I fucking hope it comes with minty non-fill.

People buying themselves something for their own birthday is a thing. I did not know that.

Myke: The $100 USB turntable really brings out the finer details of CB's signature sound. I know this isn't exactly news, but his feedback really shows Mykkke hasn't got a fucking clue. Any 'attention to the rhythm section' is a mix decision - maybe Bellman applied a boost to lower frequencies, but he's just making shit up to justify spending obscene amounts of money on bargain-bin records.

Yep, he has no idea what he's talking about or listening to.

Does it still sound as good if you connect the USB cable to a laptop, burn it on a memory stick, and then play it in the digital downstairs? Or does that cause a midrange suckout in the big creamy bottom end?
