They are going to tell you that the package was indeed picked up, and that it's the USPS that's not scanning it. Then, in a flash you'll see said movement. It's a real Act Of God experience. Prepare for it, I've been there. Oh, and some throw in how the Chicago USPS is among the worst, depending on who you get.
Had to call Amoeba on the phone, after 2 emails, and 2 posts on their FB page went unanswered. They've been waiting for them to arrive, and they still haven't...something about a problem with the shippers ? He said it as if I'm supposed to be aware of some shipping problem that's befallen online retailers ? They also hadn't sent out an email explaining the delay, as they keep thinking they'll *show up* So since I paid over a month ago, I'll continue to wait.
Waiting for someone to post Evangeline, Last Date, and yes, perhaps the 45 just to see how brain dead these people actually are. Although I just had an Amoeba rep actually say into the phone ( referring to The Band DE Box ) " we didn't send out an email about the delay, because we were hoping it'd show up."
yes folks, this is what's inheriting the world after we're all dead and gone.
how does pop market even still exist?
I think someone said Import CDs / Deep Discount / Collector's Choice scooped them out of the dumpster. I know, I was a fool, I'm not proud of it.
A lot of people can't afford prices like below. Electric Light Orchestra - Eldorado (A Symphony By The Electric Light Orchestra)
Electric Light Orchestra - Eldorado (A Symphony By The Electric Light Orchestra) (CD, US, 1993) For Sale | Discogs
Not everyone knows to look to the right, where they're for sale.
Mine was $50 inc.shipping from @baba Oh Really back in 2010. It does sound otherworldly. I recently bought a Japanese vinyl copy that sounds pretty great as well.
I did look to the right, it was just an example. Here is another listing $65 for a scratched copy. Amazon.com: Buying Choices: Eldorado
If someone finds it in decent condition for $40 to $50 in 2019 they have scored big time. I paid $24.99 for it the day of release, was hoping for others but it never happened.
I said not everyone, not you, the fact that you posted it shows you know, Christ on a cracker, always ready to argue.
8 months since my son gifted me with the new turntable. Alphabetically, I'm up to this album, and just played it, and...< sigh >. Thanks again @mlutthans , for leading me to the best version Frank Sinatra - In The Wee Small Hours

Jesus, it's only been 8 months since MYKE got his record player. Feels like for-fucking-ever ago. How much do you want to bet poor CHRYS bought that thing thinking he could save money by getting his dad to stop buying CDs in the marketplace, and listen to his old records? He must curse the day Bellman was born.
Any takers who can expedite the inevitable in MYKE's case?
Ah yes MYKE, who has lived such a full and meaningful life and contributed so much to society, taking it to retailers who don’t send out emails announcing what ever crap he bought this week is delayed because, until they hear something official from the label, it’s not delayed. To live such a life where this is the prime concern, I can only dream.
Also, isn’t MYKKKE due for a “they raised my rent and I have to move” poat?
"I must say though, artists like Kurt or Thelonious Monk who people think have something to say of the highest importance but are really just suicidal or insane sort of freak me out. Why? Well, everyone thought Monk was really "out there" but they followed his lead and jazz changed. Turns out he really was insane and was finally locked up. Does that mean that the jazzers were wrong to follow him? No, but still." - STeVE
