This line, probably more than anything else in his clearly fictitious encounter, is what makes my blood boil. My guess is that 'Laura' was pretty used to seeing famous people wander through the corridors, seeing as how she's in a well-used and well-known recording studio (and probably stopped giving a shit years before). But by making her a feeble star-struck woman, Steve's tried to infer that she's inferior, while he's above that, and can converse with 'George' easily, like they're on the same level.
Bullshit.

Exactly. It's like being a clubhouse attendant and meeting Mike Trout, Aaron Judge, and then stammering when David Price walks in.

"Anal Boy, I was speaking of George Harrison. George Martin always graciously used "they".
"Originally posted by Steve Hoffman I do agree with you about Neil, but only because he was the one who killed the DCC / Beatles projects.
Steve, can you disclose why he "killed" the project? What were his reasons?"
Probably because there was no project to begin with. Lying prick. STeVE wrote a letter to Apple asking if he could remaster the BEATLES. Neil sent back this

Steve's not listed under their engineers, so he must be "EQ consulting" again (aka forbidden from handling tapes per most labels contract requirements). It's a tier above mastering engineer, only a few revered in the biz occupy this space.

My long time mastering partner Stephen Marsh Love this. "Partner". As if Marshall Blowhard did not pay Marsh to work with Hoofman for AF. Here's a recently overheard conversation between Marsh and Guff. SH: Steph! How are you. Thought I'd drop by. Long time no see, partner. SM: Steve. How are you doing? SH: Great! Busy with the kids. They are successful child actors, y'know. SM: That's cool. Hey, we just got this newly modified Scully, wanna take a look? SH: Yeah, sure. SM: What do you think? SH: You mean, for real? I think you should hire me, so you and me together can make the best sounding cuttings in the biz. SM: Hahaha, yeah... SH: So what do you say? I'll make the EQ curves, you do the technical stuff. I'm very affordable. Plus you get free exposure on my forum! SM: Uhm, I dunno if.. SH: When can I start? SM: .... SH: I can start today. SM: Steve, even if I was looking for someone, I'd have to be someone who also has affinity with digital audio. SH: Sure, no problemo! I can bring my DAT recorder. Did you know it sound a lot closer to analog than all that digital computer stuff? SM: And also the technical aspects of audio engineering SH: Look young man, I have been a mastering engineer since 1971. I know how to thread a tape! SM: I know that. I'm just saying, you'd have to comply to the wishes of the client. Y'know, add more top-end and crush dynamics. SH: YIKES! No way I'm doing THAT. Instead, I'll teach them about the wonders of the Flat Transfer and my 15 layers of tube distortion! SM: Sorry man..

I remember as a boy pleasuring myself to one of her daguerreotypes. Yeah... Mmmm.. The sepia-toned ones with two images side-by-side? Amirite? Heh.

Not true. Hoffman is not important enough to be worthy of a response. His request was simply ignored.
