I have my own story to relate on this one.I was sitting in the bar of a local Mexican restaurant, Who, Song and Larry's, which is part of the El Torrito Mexican chain of California restaurants. I was siting at a table with two or three other friends. We had just ordered some drinks and appetizers from a friendly new waitress.
A few minutes later, I had walked up to the end of the bar, to get something or other from the bartender. Just at that time, our waitress approached where I happened to be standing. While she was waiting for the bartender to put her drink orders together, we were talking, joking around and having a good time, when I had this idea.
I shared it with the waitress, who thought it was a great idea!
Here's my idea. How about if we prank my friend's. She was all for that and asked me what I had in mind. I told her to fill a shot glass with water, as she was delivering many shots of tequila to customers on her cocktail tray. I told her to approach our table at an angle, where I could observe her approaching without my friends noticing that I was looking in her direction as she approached the table.
As soon as we got a glimpse of each other, the prank was full on. I turned more toward my friends and began to dominate the conversation, saying things to the effect of "Stacy is a real cute girl but I'll bet that she is sort of a ****** (substitute you own words here). Just as I was saying this, she had arrived at the table, a little bit out of my left field of vision, at first.
Then she stepped into my clear field of view. I was clearly evident to my friends that she clearly heard what I had said. She lowered her cocktail tray, made an indignant noise, picked up the shot of "tequila" and threw it into my face, as I gave a big look of surprise.
You should have seen the looks on my friends faces, as both Stacy and myself held character. They were in total shock and disbelief of what they has just seen occurred. They were just frozen, then after a second of two, the began to glance at each other, me and the waitress, not knowing what was going to come next!
Then, Stacy and I broke out laughing and looking at each other and then at my friend's, who were just figuring out that they had been pranked. Then we were all laughing. Every one gave us credit for putting on a geed performance.
From your story, glad that it was not real tequila. (Although I will file that one away, for future reference, should it ever become necessary).
