Yep, pretty much... But whaddya expect? For most SHiTEs, it's still 1978, not 2018, back when you could be a racist/sexist as you wanted and could get away with it.
It's just so fucked up. Seriously, if I ever start going on about "Things were so much better back in the day, these damn kids and their phones, our music was real, hggrrggbbbbrrgghllllll", I hope one of my friends has enough respect for me to just fucking kill me.
"Things were so much better back in the day...". I think we both know better than that. Mind ya, I'm jaded, cynical and misanthropic enough to think that things have always basically sucked, people included. Of course, a bunch of privileged old white males -yer average SHiTE, in other words- probably would think things were better back in the day. Times change, though, boys.

That's pretty much where I'm at as well. Things are equally shitty (and often really shitty) and good regardless of when you were born.
I don't have any kids of my own, but my older sister has three daughters, all the dreaded "millenials", but I look at them and just think "these are some fucking awesome human beings". Even if they don't listen to classic rock. Actually, that probably makes them even better...

To add another layer of quotes, I have to agree. Without the nostalgia blinders, the past was always shitty in its own way. And when they harp on the “music used to be better” bandwagon, look at the truly popular music of any decade vs. the music best remembered from that debate. Herb Alpert, Lawrence Welk, Sing along with Mitch were all insanely popular in the 60s, for instance. It wasn’t all rock which is all anyone remembers. And I worked with Millennials for about two years. I wish a lot more people had that opportunity. The shit that the boomer SHites bitch about is either typical dumb kid stuff or typical old people can’t deal with becoming culturally irrelevant shit. The kids will be fine. They have a much better grasp on the world than their parents may think.

Just off the top of my head I can remember a bunch of pure garbage that were hit songs “back in the day” that were much worse than the stuff out now.
Billy Don’t Be A Hero ( two different versions!) Moonlight Feels Right Una Paloma Blanca Shang A Lang Jeans On Afternoon Delight Feelings Mr Jaws
I could keep going
add to that the Vietnam War, Watergate, the Oil Crisis, 18% mortgage interest rates.....

Not really fair to single out a few mawkish novelty hits to make the Seventies seem lame.
Don't forget it was also the decade of Marmalade, Helen Reddy and Andy & David Williams.

Is that the track listing for an unreleased AF comp or Grunt’s next CD-r remasterbating?

The xylophone solo in Moonlight Feels Right is awesome. Marimba. It would have sounded hilarious on a xylophone!
