Paulette reminds me of that crazy Bowie obsessed broad who was poating over there relentlessly after Bowie died and our razzing her here brought about some sort of supposed cease and desist order from her "lawyer". Or something like that...

Paulette is reaching some kind of crisis point... Using Ozzy's 10-year-old reality show as a guide, she sees dark clouds on the horizon: I want to go to the show but I just don't know if I can support how he is being exploited. According to his reality show, Sharon doesn't listen to him at all. She will work him too hard and his voice will suffer. I've heard there is extensive supplementation to his voice. Is it too much to the point of being fake or deceptive? Incidentally, hasn't Ozzy's voice been heavily processed since his solo career began, if not much earlier? She seems ambivalent on the idea of backup chicks: Thanks. I saw him last month and i liked the way he sounded. Then I saw video and it was different. I learned about the hiding singer just after the concert I saw. I was sad about this. Do you think it could be worse? What if he just had a bunch of creepy but sexy back up singers on stage? She sticks to her guns regarding Ozzy's impending doom: I saw him last month. I love him. But..... With at least 18 months of touring to come. I suspect a disaster. It wouldn't surprise me if he starts to use again. After another poster tells her she's over-analyzing things, she asks a mod to delete the whole fucking thread: I guess part of me feels so bad for Ozzy. He says he wants to perform as long as people go, which is awesome. And I'm not concerned about his vocal ability for my pleasure because it pleased me intensly just this past October. I like to talk about his voice because it is like from heaven, to me, you know? You have a point about the inconsistency in his voice indicating there may not be such a singer backstage. I had thought of that but the possibility perplexes me so. I heard an interview with someone who did that. Now I suddenly feel like I am being contrary and that's never what I want. Maybe the mod's can just delete this thread? She finally admits she is stupid, while continuing to forecast doom: This post was not meant to be any kind of critique. I suppose I was unclear. I am concerned about Ozzy (stupid I guess) and about this whole idea of a support vocalist not getting any kind of notoriety. Ozzy seems to be such a tender person in so many ways. My prognosis (extensive mental health and chemical dependancy experience) is bad. Sharon will work him too hard and he has said himself he's a people pleaser so he'll do what she wants. His voice will suffer and he will be disappointed in himself. I've seen videos closely and can see how he gets upset. It's going to be grueling, this tour. His chances of using again are high. I just hope he does well, health wise. Not that I wanna be sure I'll get a good show. Turns out, she lets some personal info slip... I have not seen one. I check Ozzy in the search engine pretty regular but you should probably check there. Or I'll start one for you:D That's about all I do here is start threads about Ozzy era BS and Ozzy solo. I'm bummed. We don't have TV so I have to watch it at my parents house ACK!!! Subject switch- do you get annoyed by crowd surfers? So, she has no TV, which is not totally weird on its own (I haven't watched a bona-fide television in years), but it is still a bit unusual (I at least have one, gathering dust, in yonder corner). Also, I notice she used the pronoun "we"... "We" as in "hubby and me"? If so, I wonder if hubby knows his wife is telling geeks on the internet that they "turn her on" when they drone on about Ozzy minutiae? I dunno, I am kinda rooting for the kid, but I don't see this Paulette thing coming to a good end... Ozzy, on the other hand, will probably be just fine.

I think she should treat the last 35 years, and the forthcoming ones of Osbourne's life, as a bonus. By the law of averages, he should have died years ago.

Like a few other folks we're determined to be "off limits" (for reasons I don't need to spell out), I'm thinking this Paulette person might also be in the same boat.
She obviously has certain issues.

You're probably right. I'll lay off the updates unless she departs in a spectacular explosion or something like that. However, this can be a slippery slope; I think it is safe to say that most regulars there have 'issues'. Some are fragile and some are not, but you never really know until one melts down. I don't want to be a bully to anyone, but it's a fine line sometimes.

"He was into peace not devilry." No, that should read "He was into drugs."

And don't get me wrong. I fucking love old Sabbath.
But for some strange reason, I could not give a single fuck about their personal lives, not now, and certainly not in the seventies.
Weird, I know.

Nobody, ever, should care about what Ozzy is thinking at any given moment. Sabbath is great, but Ozzy is hardly Camus.
