STeVE, can I make a suggestion ol’ buddy ol’ pal: when you’re begging for $5000 from people to operate your line if business don’t be talking about “almost buying” a Corvette no matter when it was.
That reminds me STeV-O, I haven’t seen you share any recent expensive purchases on Instagram, why is that? I see you shared a nipple picture of Lynda Carter, that should get the old tubes a pumping.
Have the Rolex already. And the BMW. And the $40K stereo is enough for now. But that new C8 Corvette is so gorgeous I am all in and will order soon as the build list is available and the dealer starts taking orders. It comes with a Bose system. Can't have everything, you know. Oh well... The Vette will help my ego tremendously I think.
It's not that much, is it? I mean not more than the current model. Wait a year until they get the bugs out..
I believe the folks at Chevy said that the new Corvette would be priced at just under $60K.
Same as the old model. Back in 1996 (when I almost gone one) it was $46,000. Reasonable.
For some reason, I actually went over and scanned through that. There's 10 minutes or so of my life gone forever, never to return. That "diecaster" is certainly one stunningly annoying asshole, though.

I did as well. Sadly (imo) no one noted the ominous drift of the SH Forums into, shall we say, non-musical topics. But why a group of apparently savvy web-users would think that a site with no banner ads is necessarily ad-free saddens me; most appear unaware or unperturbed by the implications of data mining, or the use of monetized weblinks. And most rejected the point that subsidizing a multi-millionaire's vanity forum is not exactly trickle-down economics. Sheesh.
Btw if I were to cast aspersions I would think that arglebargle individual might be one of... us:
He only accepts advertising in the form of shilling, would be more accurate imho. Daddy needs a new turntable.
Emphasis added. Heh.
The idea that seeing Pete and Roger uncomfortably sitting on a vintage motor scooter would be anything more than a novelty is ludicrous
Just wanted to mention that my old Audio Note UK speakers, the AN-E Alnicos in Cherry Gloss are now at the Audio Home in Fullerton with @warren Jarrett. Also he has the Audio Note UK Ginrei 211 SET monoblocks in black that I had here for a few years.
Someone with $$ should grab the Alnicos and the Jinrei amps as a set from Warren. Both in perfect condition, together they make an amazing sound.
When I did my presentation for the LA & OC Audio Society at the Audio Home, I used the Alnico/Ginrei playback and the sound was just the best I've ever heard Audio Note. It was giant, full, powerful, emotional and damn near perfect. Everyone who was there was impressed including Warren and me!
And now, this duo is back there again for sale and someone who loves good sound should grab these demos. They are for life. An amazing sound.
The Ginrei's remember have two 211 valves per monoblock for a giant sound. With the Alnicos and (I believe we used an AN M6 preamp) it's just about the best. And of course, being Audio Note, no ear fatigue, even when playing for hours.
Just a head's up, go listen at the Audio Home if you are local, or drive or fly in if you can. These demos are on sale for a steal price. This is worth it!
