People who call liberals "snowflakes" are, at this very moment, throwing their Gillette razors into toilets because a commercial gave them the sads.

The Atlantic runs long article detailing years of allegations regarding Bryan SingerThe #MeToo Movement won't touch Bryan Singer with a 10-foot-pole. Once it's in the open, all the enablers can't look the other way. Same as Weinstein or Spacey. What these guys were doing was an open secret in Hollywood. No one cared until a light was turned on. The details are out there on the net for anybody to investigate. There's also pictures of Singer and Kevin Spacey partying. Singer points out he's never been charged, never been arrested, never been sued and lost, so he's basically saying anything he ever did was a) legal and b) consensual. That doesn't mean it isn't sleazy, but if they banned every sleazy director from working in Hollywood, I think 1/3 of them would be out of a job. I don’t like his movies anyway so no great loss One would think so, but two words... Roman. Polanski. He drugged and sodomized a thirteen-year-old girl in a jacuzzi, can't set foot in the U.S. for facing jail time, and Hollywood has feted him for decades... But hey, at least he's not a Republican, right Hollywood ...? That's a good way to get this thread closed ASAP, thanks for that.

This one was gorfed almost right away (the original was more festive with clumps of smilies every second sentence):

Maybe I just don’t like Brian singer because we started off at the same time I was going to USC and he was living 50 feet across Cloverdale street from me on his friends couch. Then he sold that goddamn screenplay, bought a range rover, and a loft downtown! Well I stayed on a friends couch THIS week and… No wonder I don’t like him. Hahaha. At least I had my own goddamn apartment! Ha ha Ha What am I laughing about? I need a drink. :realmad: A friend of mine worked on the Rush Hour pictures with Ratner, and he says while he was a decent guy on the shoots, Ratner does do an incredible number of takes and they're grueling productions, but the crew makes a fortune because of the overages. Zero complaints of harassment or hostility on the shows. I'd agree that his movies are kind of crappy.

I love how anything that criticizes anything a homosexual does, then right away it has to be homophobia. All I say to that is, there's an organization called NAMBLA but I've never heard of one called NAMGLA. Vahan likes this.

'Gay man makes (possibly) unfounded accusation of homophobia, therefore let me remind everyone that there's a lobbying group that wants to legalize relationships between men and underage boys, hetero pedophiles would never start such a group, or clearly I'd have heard of it'
WTF?

Is James saying that he hates gay people and is a member of NAMBLA?
I think so, yes.

Damn right. I'm not a psychiatrist but I would venture to guess that if you weren't homosexual, been sexually abused by one would be a lot more psychologically damaging than if it was a teen girl being coerced. Vahan and Dudley Morris like this.Well, look at what happened with Kevin Spacey and Anthony Rapp almost 30 years ago. And I think Rapp had a totally legit complaint, and he had no reason to lie or exaggerate. Though this was clearly not a stalker/fan situation. There are valid reasons for people to come forwards years after a harrowing, stressful situation. Maybe it was amicable back in the day, but jumpcut on reflection sure Rapp received a gold watch but that was 30 years ago, Rapp‘s finances today not great, career likewise see‘s Spacey on tv doing well. And decides a little payback time, as he’s got nothing to lose. I think it’s scandalous myself, Spacey is the victim.
