Alexpop's most coherent message in recent history also manages to be his stupidest.

Shites are now moving into whataboutery to defend the musical output of a pretty brazen child molester:
Lightworker:
Also this, which is very much not okay in its own right
Then this Aomxomomoma fucker jumps in:
quoth leonthepro
Again, how fucking stupid do you have to be to equate songs that employ metaphor with an actual song whose lyrics are:
What would you do
If a girl comes to you
Whose so frightfully shy
She won't look you in the eye
And you want to let her know
That you want to see her
Sooner or later
What would you do?
What would you do?
She's so scared she trembles
And she won't say a word
And she hands you a note
And turns terribly red
And she has no experience to speak of
What would you do?
I'd take her riding on my BSA
I'd talk to her about life
I'd show her the mountains and the beaches
I'd take her home with me
What would you do?
(Short back story if you didn't know - The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band were a few semi-decent musicians who could write a big song, but were bankrolled by a rich guy who insisted on being part of the band and writing lyrics around how awesome it was to find very young girls a turn-on.)

I was once in a band with a morally bankrupt, utterly entitled son of a tycoon. Can only imagine this one (who hung out with Kim Fowley and wrote stuff like that) was even more of a prick.

Waiting for the Ryan Adams news to hit SHTV They need a few minutes to process it and come to the conclusion that all those women are just doing it for fame or money.

That is a SHite conundrum. Side with the opportunistic whores or the Generation X artist with no "classic" songs?

I'm disappointed in Adams. Not surprised, because I think the guy has proven to be every other kind of asshole his entire career, but I'm disappointed. I'm not selling all my Ryan Adams albums (which are mostly Whiskeytown), but I don't think I'll buy anymore.

In my spare time, I'm a (very minor) freelancer for a music magazine, and I've worked for them for something like 20 years. I've reviewed a few terrible albums, like a solo effort by Ian Brown, the singer for The Stone Roses, but my contender for the worst track I've had to listen to in that capacity is definitely "Starting to Hurt" from Demolition. Poseur wankery at its lamest. And I don't have anything he's released since Cold Roses in 2006.

I've always hated his shit faux-Americana music and he's always seemed like the douchiest douche that ever douched. So I've been ahead of the curve for a long time.

I was half expecting something like this to come out on him. There were rumblings and rumors that his split with Mandy Moore was just the tip of the iceberg.
I wonder what's gonna happen with the upcoming Jenny Lewis album that he produced.
