Erm...straight into the charts at no 81, so yes maybe just a little hopeful bob60 said:
Erm, the last time Kate Bush performed a whole concert was 35 years ago when she was 20 years old.bob60 said:
To be fair he made it extremely difficult for us to love him, what with his erm.......lets be polite and call them eccentricities.bob60 said:
Erm yes I think we'd better!!!!bob60 said:
Elton did apologise to the stewardess a few songs later, but I cannot believe it was through choice. I imagine that someone had a quick word between songs. ''Erm Elton, you know all those thousands of little lights that you can see in front of you when you are on stage, those are camera phones belonging to the audience, they will have filmed everything tonight and as soon as the show is over it will be all over the internet for the world to see''.bob60 said:
Erm....School's Out, panties. In 2015?bob60 said:
erm,.. not really. John Lennon Was 40 when he was shot, 40 is not old but it is not young either.bob60 said:
Erm, you do know that he's just signed a new mega deal with Sony right? He is filming the video for his new single this week with the album to follow. Robbie has had, and continues to have massive success and huge selling no 1 albums, not bad given his first solo album was released 20 years ago.
bob60 said:
Erm...that's because 60 years later everything has been done already.bob60 said:
erm...actually I think you'll find that its only those two, but agreed they are both fantastic.bob60 said:
Hello bobby, fancy seeing you in this thread I agree about Mel C, her voice was great in small doses as part of the Spice Girls, and they were a big part of the singles, but solo I found her voice grated.
Geri was a great pop star and made some great singles. Emma's stuff was really good, especially the later stuff with that 60's vibe going on.
Mel B completely passed my by with her solo stuff I can only remember that dreadful single Word Up.
As for Victoria, erm...she has a great husband and family....
bob60 said:
Erm not really...cheese is cheese never mind who you have worked with, that's why Paul McCartney is deservedly in this thread for inflicting those cheesefest singles upon us back in the 70's.bob60 said:
erm... Strawberry Switchblade a shocking ommision, really?bob60 said:
erm I think you might be mixing up Don with Jim Lea.bob60 said:
Erm...Jo dolce - shadupa your facebob60 said:
Robbie career dead? Erm no, not by a long shot.....you need to keep up with the pop news bob60 said:
Erm, for the moment at least, but I wouldn't hold out too much hope on this one.bob60 said:
Erm, maybe spend 5 minutes googling 'George Michael discography' before coming out with such daft claims.bob60 said:
Captain Beefheart? King Crimson?? Stop it, you are killing me..lol I have been a music fan all of my life but I couldn't name a single song by either of those... erm artists, let alone recognise any single one of the members.
bob60 said:
Erm....you do know that the album has only just been made available on Spotify don't you, and that it has actually sold 20 million copies? why would people want to it on listen on Spotify once they have already bought it?
bob60 said:
Erm...we know all of that, hence the point of this thread. We are all agreed that Cliff has virtually no chance of having another hit single (in his lifetime) but so what, he is still hugely successful and more importantly very well liked as a person (unlike a recently deceased singing friend of his, but we won't go there)I would imagine it would be almost impossible for a new young artist today to have a 60 year recording career.
bob60 said:
Erm.....not really. McCartney definitely has a wispy comb over job these days and Bowie 's hair in that pic looks like a pretty thick mop to me.bob60 said:
Ahhh, that will explain his erm....shall we say unusual behavior during interviews then..bob60 said:
nice erm.... trousers (?) Rob...bob60 said:
No sillier than the rest of this erm, strange thread bob60 said:
The Sweet - HellraiserBonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse Of The Heart
Erm... Toyah - Thunder And Lightning
bob60 said:
Erm, I think you have your threads mixed up, this is the coolest album pic thread, not the other one.bob60 said:
Erm, you do know that the Hoffman forums are home to Beatles obsessives who would probably be able to tell you not only what type of underwear each member of the band preferred, but also if they dressed to the left or right.A small matter of an affair is chicken feed on here
bob60 said:
Erm, I think the post was a light hearted bit of humour.bob60 said:
For anyone that had the misfortune to meet or work with 'Ms Black' (as she insisted on being called) the difficulty was coming to terms with the huge gulf between her on screen persona and her real life vile self. She was lucky that her huge 80's TV fame was in the days before the internet and social media.Anyway back to the song. Erm its so awful I have erased it from my memory already. I really liked Anyone Who Had A Heart but that is probably because it is the first song that I can remember hearing as a toddler.
bob60 said:
Erm no actually. It was very much seen at the time as Paul would be the one to benefit from this partnership.bob60 said:
Erm, because he's from Liverpool and Hillsborough is very much a Liverpool thing. The Sun newspaper is not even sold in Liverpool as far as I know as shops refuse to stock it.There is no obsession with Pauls hair, people are just saying what most of us think, that hair like that on a 75 year old man just looks plain daft. And I certainly don't agree with the person on here who recently said that by letting his hair go naturally grey Paul would look 10 years older, so 85. He wouldn't, he would look the same age but more kind of like a regular guy.
Don't take it to heart, Ringo's dyed hear/beard combo looks even worse...
bob60 said:
Erm.....he was charged with pubic indecency for having sex with another man in a public toilet.Maybe it was just a phase he was going through....
bob60 said:
Erm...actually they co wrote their (great) songs. There is a saying in the music business 'change a word take a third', hence why the Spice Girls have millions in the bank.bob60 said:
Erm no, the A-sides were huge hits because they were good songs that people liked and bought, the rock B-sides were like their albums, very different and nobody bought them. Sweet never had a hit studio album.bob60 said:
Erm, isn't it a 'Beyonce' pregnancy?bob60 said:
Erm this is 2017, everybody consumes TV in different ways these days, recording to hard drive, catch up TV etc. This is not the 1970's, we can watch what we want when we want.
bob60 said:
erm....in the first post actually, only four pages back.bob60 said:
Erm, because you started the thread.. .bob60 said:
Erm, didn't those original albums sell millions of copies?bob60 said:
Erm.. two of the four members are dead. But lets hope the two remaining members benefit from this new lease of life of the song.It is not a given, there are plenty of musicians who signed over their publishing when times were tough.
Fox On The Run is a great single, and Sweet have loads of great singles, and it is great that a new generation of people may be hearing them for the first time.
bob60 said:
Erm, A Little Less Conversation was released 15 years ago, hardly recent.bob60 said:
erm... I Only Want To Be With You - Samantha Foxbob60 said:
Erm, the bits I read after googling it did suggest highly illegal and immoral activities.I certainly won't be buying this book, I just don't trust these books that come out after a person has died and not around to defend themselves.
bob60 said:
Me too, I really liked those mid 70's disco singles. That's what was fab about disco, everyone jumped on the bandwagon, Cilla Black, Frankie and The Four Seasons, Petula Clark, Abba, Rod, The Stones, The Bee Gees and erm...T.Rex..
bob60 said:
That is really surprising, and especially on here where female pop artists tend to be....erm...not well liked shall we say.bob60 said:
Erm, perhaps you should do some research or at least read the thread before posting your doom n' gloom reply....bob60 said:
erm...George Michael anyone? bob60 said:
Erm, Lee Marvin.bob60 said:
Erm no, I think you have misunderstood my post.bob60 said:
Erm...a lot of people are into certain parts of Morrissey's solo career...bob60 said:
Erm, try reading reading the post directly above yours which includes actual sales figures.Would you like a glass of water to wash down your foot?
bob60 said:
Erm not really. There will never again be a fan base as big as the original one, The Beatles prove that. They should get the stuff out there whilst people are still around and interested in paying for it. Future generations may only be interested in a greatest hits set and maybe a classic album. We all know that sales are dismal these days, I cant imagine there will be much of a market in 20/30 years to make it worthwhile releasing half finished stuff.bob60 said:
Yes it was that one, it was released in 1997, I just checked it on Amazon.Wow 20 years ago, it seems like erm...only yesterday.
bob60 said:
Erm, how can I put this. The tales of Shaun McGowan's drinking in the Irish bars on Kilburn High Road are legendary. What he got up to in the smallest room of these bars even more so...bob60 said:
Erm, I think we are supposed to overlook that horror along with his others...bob60 said:
I don't think it is a wig, but you are right it is just so thick, that is usually a tell tale sign.Have you seen Elton's new, erm.. shall we call it a hairstyle?. Its now flat on top and with a heavy fringe, and a kind of rusty colour....
bob60 said:
Erm, Ballroom Blitz was Sweet at the peak of their glam phase....bob60 said:
Erm, well to be fair age is not on his side this time. How do you come up with 12 times?
bob60 said:
Erm, Disco started in the underground, certainly in New York.bob60 said:
Why do you feel that it is your God given right to know the insurance and outs of their professional relationship?Sorry if my original reply sounded rude but your post just read as kind of needy and erm.. a bit daft.
But never mind, you managed to say what you intended in the end with a little gentle coaxing.
bob60 said:
Erm...have you read the posts on this 2 page thread?bob60 said:
Erm, it's not like he actually had a choice. He was hugely overweight, heavily addicted to drugs and ordered by the courts to sweep the streets in full view of the media. Not sure were you are going with this ....
bob60 said:
Erm, he was a Beatle, of course he will be wealthy, but he can still make crap decisions just like we all can. Letting the Beatles publishing slip through his fingers wasn't exactly a smart financial move...
bob60 said:
erm...I think we're supposed to overlook the screaming girls part of their career....bob60 said:
Erm, already mentioned in the second post and numerous other posts in this five page thread...bob60 said:
I bet most young people these days aren't even aware that you can borrow CD's from a library, it great they still stock them.As for that tight ass of yours, google is your friend, there are lots of things that can...erm, help
