What are you listening to right now?
I love making "mix cd's" for the car. It' so much faster than making cassettes as I did as a teenager.
I had kind of guessed what I was going to put on there, but as the only DF I've played in a long time was Carnegie I learned a bit about what I like:
Discs 1-3:
Home Free 80% of the cd was used
Souvenirs, Captured Angel & Netherlands: 100% of all
Twin Sons: All of the vocal tracks
Phoenix probably around 60%
Disc 4:
Innocent Age - around 60% + the b side Hearts & Crafts & replaced Auld Lang Syne with the Carnegie Live version (love the song, hate the IA arrangement).
I always said that IA was 50-6+0% of a masterpiece loaded down with filler. Playing it the way I reimagined it, I did find it to be an awesome album.
CD #4 starts with IA, & then includes 2 tracks from High Country Snows, 2 from Windows & Walls & covers of It Doesn't Matter (Stills) & Lovers In A Dangerous Time (Cockburn). While I am 100% catalog on DF there was little after IA that interested me for this; & of the 6 post IA songs I used, 4 were covers.
As configured my cd #4 is a great disc!
[2018-08-31] Ian Hunter "Stranded In Reality" 28CD/2DVD box set (Proper UK)
I'm also broke, it costs a lot of $'s, & the big surprise was realizing how many of the rarities I already have; as through the years I've bought every legal IH set that's been released (some of which were worth big $'s before this box).
I am 100% complete catalog to the best of my knowledge, & a GUESS is I have about 1/2-2/3 of the rarities on here.
If I KNEW for certain it was an upgrade, I'd find some way to do this.

Many artists from the 80's & early 90's have not aged well for me. There are some exceptions, but G&R (including the original albums) is not one of them. If the only G&R songs I ever heard again were Sweet Child & their cover of Heaven's Door; I'd be ok. There are a few more songs I kinda like, but they're not priorities for me & there's only so much time in a lifetime for listening. I'm maybe on this one. I'm a pretty big fan, & I'm already catalog + lots of video concerts (i.e. how much do I need). There are several TP video shows i own & still haven't watched.Thompson Family - "Thompson Family" 96/24

I'm catalog (both solo & with Richard). Imo, her best solo album by a mile is her debut as a solo artist. What are you listening to right now?

Earlier in the car: my Dan Fogelberg 4 cd best of mix cd set.I love making "mix cd's" for the car.

This is really getting to be a hard decision for me. I'm a HUGE IH fan, & this is a limited set of 2500.I'm also broke, it costs a lot of $'s, & the big surprise was realizing how many of the rarities I already have; as through the years I've bought every legal IH set that's been released (some of which were worth big $'s before this box).
I am 100% complete catalog to the best of my knowledge, & a GUESS is I have about 1/2-2/3 of the rarities on here.

That is 40 pounds off list. I would really like to find a non biased review regarding the mastering. I have not found anything I can trust regarding the mastering for either the Hunter or the Wishbone Ash. Since I am already catalog on IH, if I spent $300 & the remastering was a downgrade, I'd be beyond furious. If I KNEW for certain it was an upgrade, I'd find some way to do this.

I'm close to catalog (weakest on the Green years; but I've got Ten Play On & The Chain, so I'm ok). IMO, this does not cover enough of Bare Trees to cover the Kirwin period. I'm grateful for the hi-res downloads from that period; unless they do totally uncompressed remasters, I'm set for life on Mac.'The Worst Of The Jefferson Airplane' by Jefferson Airplane.

Surprisingly good comp. The LP version was my first JA purchase. While I like that the cd is expanded, I'm catalog so never felt the need to grab it.[2019-??-??] Maria McKee "La Vita Nuova" concept album feat. Jim Akin & Tom Dunne

I'm catalog on Maria, but this one doesn't sound like my cup of tea so far.[2019-01-18] Joe Jackson "Fool" (EarMusic)

It's on my radar. I somewhat agree with hit or miss; I'm catalog, but there's some I suspect I won't be playing again.
