I would like to amend my boat on the are any of them funny poll. Kwadguy is funnier than arnoldgrove. Neither of them are funny, but half the time kwadguy's jokes are so bad SHites don't know he is joking, and that is kinda funny. That's because he forgets to add in these: . Beginner's mistake. He needs to sign up for Arnie Grove's comedy 101 course.

On Eddie Trunk's show yesterday, he said he has an inside source who's saying that these Traveler's Edition boxes are going to be delivered in person by Gene Simmons--and that Paul may show up for some presentations.

The dolt is even less funny than usual (and that is saying something). The actual fact is, most recordings of 4'33 are in stereo. It is a performance piece. That is the whole point of it. It is not 4 odd minutes of digital silence. That concept is too much for them to understand. Just like how they compare it to Two Minutes Silence by John & Yoko. Now, that's actual silence. Is it a reference to John Cage? Let's see, the track before it is Baby's Heartbeat, the sound of their unborn child's heartbeat, a child who would be stillborn by time the album was compiled. It's meant to be two minutes of respectful silence. A normal person should be able to figure that out in less time than it takes to read this poat.

The concepts "normal person" and "SHiteville" are incompatible.

It’s going to be the ultimate SHiTE paradox.
On a side note, Andy Zax and Chris O’Leary (who runs the Bowie song-by-song blog and subsequent book) are Twitter buddies and have exchanges about particularly terrible SHiTE threads.

Is Andy Zax the new Buddy Holly and any mention gets you an automatic ban in Hoofyville?

Looks like Hoffman got to the tapes before Zax...
'Zax also found that the reel of Sly Stone’s performance was cut up and spliced into “100 small pieces,” he says. “It was like old-school film editing — bits of tape hanging like a million No-Pest Strips.”'

His work on the Talking Heads catalog is outstanding, and everything else I've heard (Nico et al) is equally great.
