OK, I gave the redbook layer of this a listen on my stereo. (I don't have a SACD player.) I found that the sound quality varied from track to track, more than I have seen with prior Mofi SACDs. A few songs sounded excellent, most of the others others sounded very good and a few sounded just good. The overall sound is open, revealing and a touch bright. I expected the sound to be warmer than it is, but I wouldn't call it cold. They achieved a nice transparency of textures, so you clearly hear everything. There is more hiss/air than I have come to expect from Mofi, but this also means there is a lot of detail. Great midrange and nice dynamics too. I don't open my Mofi SACDs, just a slit on the side, so I can't confirm for sure who mastered this one.Would like to see them do all of the Simon and Garfunkel albums on SACD.

Uh? I guess I am proud to say that George’s comments make zero sense to me. He buys but doesn’t have a SACD player. He doesn’t open them though, just enough to read a name? Is this blocked off or is the wrap not clear?
I have never purchased a Mofi CD and I have exactly one Mofi record which I was able to get on a very cheap deal on amazon. I also found the Mofi moniker to be another way to bleed money from audiophools

George P. thinks there's an official grading of "Still (kinda) sealed". Chowderhead is right. Shit, if you're gonna do the physical doodad-thingy, you need to actually enjoy them. You know, open 'em up, read the tiny notes, drool/splooge over the photos, see who the bloody MASTERING ENGINEER is, etc.

The more recent ones are in a larger digipak that can be slit open and the disc slid out, I suppose. This precludes him from reading the all important credits inside. I suppose he is too dumb to google it or something.

They'll have to pry my Christopher Cross S/T early Sanyo Japan CD from my cold, dead hands.

This guy once posted a pic of his system and one speaker was almost behind a couch. Yet he pontificates on the sonic differences between power cords.

My biggest annoyance with George P is for years he was constantly debating (mostly with himself) about CD Direct vs Source Direct on his Yamaha amp, and I don't think he ever came to a proper conclusion.
