Of the Beatles minutia one could think of discussing, the gatefold sleeve for BFS came up.
Sure Steve.

Beatles For Sale came out the height of Beatlemania. It didn't need any "visual bling" to make it sell.
Also it has the same number of covers as the first two albums. What a lying dunce.

Dead mean tell no tales.
Nor can they refute STeVE's lies.

I’m sure happy to be living in STeVE’s world.
Aren’t you?

What the hell is the side beat?

What the hell is the side beat? For a guy that's drummed on a pretend Hit Single, he sure doesn't know what he's talking about. It's also, once more, absolute bullshit - there are cymbals and other non-snare drums all over Beach Boys records. Even Surfin' USA has a hi-hat (the discussion about the drumming on that song is another very long and complicated story that was fun to unpick with Beach Boys scholars on another forum, including two people who were actually there, but STeVE doesn't deserve to know anything about that)

I prefer John Stamos to Hal Blaine when it comes to BB drumming.

I'm pretty sure I hear a high hat on Help Me Rhonda and Little Deuce Coupe and All Summer Long. But hey I'm not SteVe.

I prefer John Stamos to Hal Blaine when it comes to BB drumming. First one I thought of.

Does Steve have a Dennis Wilson story? He must do. My guess is either STeVE was the one that suggested Dennis try surfing in 1960, recognized him at one of his visits to Spahn Ranch (or Dennis recognized him!) or tried to take him for a coffee on the morning of December 28th 1983, but instead he went to Marina Del Rey.

"It was 1986, my girlfriend Susan Allen and I were hanging around that mall in Santa Monica, trying to sell some mastertapes I "found", right by the pier, walking around inside, we ran right into Jan Berry and friend. I looked up and there he was. Told him hi and how I loved all his records. He told me to fuck off . Yikes! That was it. But it is a nice memory.
He was indeed a genius in the music biz. Those who don't see that, well, what can I say? Not my kinda people." Steve Hoffman, Yesterday at 7:52 PM

STeVE allegedly once had a short conversation over brunch with Brian Wilson. Did STeVE fire dozens of questions at him in machine gun fashion while franticly writing down every one of Bri's responses? Or does his HAL-like memory have them all safely recorded for posterity? Wilson seems to have told him hundreds of inane details about his life and recordings during this little deli tête-à-tête. And Hoofy remembers every word. Yikes!

Jan Berry is STeVE’s second-favorite vege-table.
