Can't wait to hear his thoughts on Chuck Woolery. Vidiot once ran into Chuck at a TCBY in Studio City on May 5, 1990. It was just after he told Jim Henson he should have that cough checked out. Anyway, Chuck was complaining that his chocolate truffle strawberry cone didn't have vibrant browns. He personally offered to speak with the owner of the chain (who has been his best friend since meeting on the set of Maude in 1974) and offer to remaster the chocolate soft serve to get the proper HD brown shade, and in return, allow him to see vidiot's "chocolate machine" in real-life HD. What about Vickie’s chocolate machine?

forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/wkrp-thanksgiving-episode-and-show-music-appreciation-thread.904234/Daca Daca DavidARob (this is the actual reason the series was shot on videotape, otherwise it would’ve had no music) Vidiot “Most American 1970s TV sitcoms were shot on video, except everything MTM Productions produced.” You know, the company that produced WKRP, which was shot on videotape solely because music clearance costs were considerably cheaper on video. Steve Hoffman Forums: Home of the Experts. Don’t forget how we much know the exact make and model of cameras used because that adds absolutely nothing to the discussion!

What about Vickie’s chocolate machine? DeVoe and Zoot Marimba were busy, what with DeVoe showing him his "secret stash" of 15 year olds performing Zappa. "Tribute shows suck, but man, what a great tribute show". "I'm Zoot Marimba and I'm the wanna-be Lester Bangs of the group even though I know 6 words".

Dolemite*Snoop Dog was horrendous as the in-store DJ. Just awful and amateurish. The rest of the film was so-so: sometimes OK, sometimes hilarious, sometimes very predictable and by rote. I did get a kick out of the real Dolemite clips at the end of the film, mostly because I mastered that film for HD a few years ago. It's a weird, crazy, unintentionally-funny (and awful) film, kind of like the black Plan 9 from Outer Space. I will say this for Eddie: he 100% got Rudy Ray Moore's delivery, and the rhymes and raps were very authentic and well-done.

Omg fuck that waste of skin. Dolemite is INTENTIONALLY funny. He needs to get Rudy Ray Moore’s and Eddie Murphy’s names out of his dipshit mouth. Two of my all-time comedy heroes.

While Vidiot isn’t as blatantly rude as Hoffman, MYKE, Strat-Mangler, or other top-tier SHites, the exchange below has his insufferableness on full display: I was told by an Anthology insider in the 1990s that Apple quietly bought up the rights to just about every single Beatles clip, feature, short, and news item they could get their hands on. I think in the case of the Ed Sullivan Shows, they split the rights with the Sofa Entertainment people (Andrew Solt and Sullivan's family), but one can't do anything without the other. They bought Help and A Hard Day's Night some years ago as well from Walter Shenson's people. Why do the SHites insist on quoting unnamed (and probably fake) Beatles’ “insiders”? [8-year-olds bragging bullshit on school playgrounds during recess are more believable that anyone who purports to know one of these mythical creatures.] In this case, Vidiot likely did it as something to fall back on in case his claims were proven false.... ...which they soon were: Actually, they didn't. "A Hard Day's Night" is owned by Bruce and Marsha Karsh who were friends with an associate of Shenson and offered to buy the rights from Shenson's son who wanted to sell. The agreement gave them 100% ownership of "A Hard Day's Night" and a 50/50 ownership agreement with the Beatles for "Help!". They've had an amicable working relationship for almost 20 years. Uh oh... Vidiot has been challenged! Of course, his first line of defense is to fall back on the claim that his bullshit was actually based on the words of others. Then, he calls on jjh1959 to prove his (or her) information in the most-douchebaggy way possible (which I put into boldface for your convenience): IMDB today only says "Walter Shenson Films" and "UA," and I know that's not correct. I was told years ago that Apple Corps made a huge offer to "basically own everything," but the details about it weren't given to me. I can only tell you what I hear. If you have a link to a reference or a revised copyright notice, I'd be glad to take a look at it.Best of all, jjh1959 saved all the receipts! [Hey, Vidiot, would you also be kind enough to take a look at the upraised middle finger on my right hand? I’m directing it your way with a smirk on my face after you got pwned by jjh1959!] Update: the first three links jjh1959 posted are the top three hits if you google “Bruce Karsh Beatles”. [Google: Putting Beatle Insiders out of work since 1998!]

The best part is that Vidiot can be called out without fear of getting banned and having poats scrubbed.

With a mention of the Jerry Lewis “The Day the Clown Cried” film in a STeVE thread I remembered Vidiot bragging about his being selected by Jerry to restore and work on films. I found this exchange below. I am not sure what to make of it, either a faulty memory on Furmanek’s part of pure bullshit on Mark Vidiot? You be the judge.

Vidiot's "Apple insider" is an interview with Anthology director Bob Smeaton, published in Record Collector magazine and other music papers as promotion for the series. He mentioned how Neil Aspinall had been getting Apple's lawyers to reclaim copies of promos from TV archives that Apple hadn't bothered to keep.

Yeah, well, Vidiot once got Lucy's autograph and pocketed a few of her ciggie butts. (We know this because he has told us like 40,000 times.) What have YOU done with YOUR life, pal? Really? Cigarette butts? Is that supposed to impress someone? ”see those smelly cigarette butts in that ashtray? Lucy smoked those!”. If only I could snag some Alex Lifeson used condoms.

Seeing as you asked, I recorded a ballet in three days in Abbey Road Studio 2. I bet Vidiot hasn't. I've never been more nervous in my life.
