Acid casualties. It's pretty obvious.

I don't know about the acid angle but I don't think that holds water. I remember him as Aric Effron who would poat at the Blue Note Bulletin Board late 90s/early 00s before Blue Note shut the Board down over Norah. I certainly had my share of run ins with him at the time (and of course, trolled him over Hank not being very good, Tina Books as better, etc etc). He's mentally disabled. It's really as simple as that.

What's the story with this? Geezer misogyny or something else?

Iirc it had to do with her not being jazz and the regulars taking issue very vocally.

There was an issue with that SACD (Come Away With Me), as well that made some go crazy. The 2 channel layer was not hi-rez.

That album played on repeat at the place I worked in college. It was great wallpaper music, but I never want to hear it again.

What Mr. Spunk said. I have to say that at the time, the feeling wasn't exactly unwarranted. Poor Tom Evered.

I had a hard time sleeping last night and found myself scrolling through the Organissimo jazz forums. The thread I was reading devolved into an argument about the Marsalis brothers. Scott Dolan, that jazz board's M******l, calls everyone hypocrite cowards if they won't listen to a 7 CD Wynton Marsalis Live at The Village Vanguard set. Chewy waltzes in with his take on said set: "i dumped it and spent the money on a deluxe cinanmon roll" I love that dude.
