To be fair, I don't know if they were responsible for it but someone(don't remember who) quoted California Couple's nonsense before it was scrubbed and responded with "I didn't know this was a white supremacist website...". Might have helped hasten the deletion.

By my reckoning, I'm maybe just a bit younger than most folks here and over there, and this might sound naive but I'm genuinely astounded that people can get so worked up about mixed-race couples and kids.
I grew up in a fairly multicultural town (which was still hideously infested with latent racism when I think back on it), and different skin colour was not a consideration when it came to friends (or girlfriends), and until I got onto Twitter and social media (but especially Twitter), I didn't think anything of it and still don't see the problem. But these guys are acting like it's some sort of perversion. Fuck them.

This is actually some rhetoric that's quite standard with anti-Semites. The California Couple quote in the first message mentions the "media people behind the music industry," which often take triple parentheses on Internet conversations. Jews are trying to push the mongrelization of the superior white race by promoting miscegenation through music, film, advertising and pornography (which is quite ironic, given that "interracial" is one of the most used keywords on porn sites for Southern states). Gay marriage is another Jewish instrument to degrade the enemy race.
And, in Europe, we have the Great Replacement conspiracy theory about Brussels (owned by Bilderberg aka the Jews) pushing for non-European immigration to replace white Christians at work (they're cheaper) and in culture.

When he was with my mother, it would never have crossed their minds to say "oh, he's married to a German." Even my grandparents said their fair share of dumb shit before my sister was born. Folks his age (sixty) and younger don't seem bothered by it, and indeed even engage in it. But the older folks, the ones who remember when the neighborhood was still white, still seem to notice.
There are exceptions with younger people, but then those people display other racist prejudices anyway so no surprise there.
But you and I live in multicultural communities. Not everyone does.
