Hey Minty, This empty thread deserves a reply. Funny you mentioned this “SHite characteristic” because I’ve noticed it too. The sentimental SHite likes to sit around with a bottle of K-Y fucksauce and jacks off to the past. I’ve come to the conclusion it has to do with the fact most of them are in the 8th & 9th innings of their lives. Therefore, they linger on “pinnacle moments of youth” as the ultimate forms of distraction. By doing so, they don’t have to think about the inevitable all the time....sTiff CiTy. As far as their SHitey “ Me Too Movement “ of 1st time listening to Ray Charles and wishing Ray could give them a “Cleveland Steamer” at the cocktail lounge with Ma & Pa watching... you already know the answer, forum koolaid. That’s because they’re insecure. They feel they won’t be accepted if they don’t alter their behavior and follow the “official narrative”, which had been laid down before them. Fuck that noise,Bucko! What’s the point of spending your time there, if you can’t be yourself and say what you really think? In fact, I wouldn’t doubt that many sentimental SHites are embellishing & modifying “their tales of yesteryear“. Doing it to blend in and get “acceptance”. As a result, they get a “hollow reward” for engaging in the hive mentality. However, at the end of the day, they’re still the same empty Limp Dick muther fuckers they were before they logged in. Simply, because the typical SHite doesn’t doesn’t know who the fuck they are. The concept of being authentic and true to themselves, is lost on them. They take their “social cues” from Herd Mentality and Consumerism. In reality, most of them had less than stellar childhoods. Those “Walt Disney moments” were actually far and few between. Which is also another reason why they’re pining for the past, because they missed out. Hoofy comes to mind, he’s the King of Sentimental SHites. I’m sure there’s a few SHites who went to a Banana Splits meet & greet and wound up taking it up the caboose, by some creeper wearing a Fleegle costume... but, they‘ll leave that story out... FWIW: I see where you‘re going here, but the title was wasn’t right. MOD, change title to: “ The average funeral in SHiteville cost over 5,000 dollars and Social Security only pays 255 dollars in death benefits, and that’s if you qualify!”

That's like a wannabe Steve anecdote post, but missing that essential Steve formula. Also it's hard to think Born to Lose would be Steve's self-confessed musical epiphany. He wasn't born to lose, he was was born to do lunch, hang out at the Troubadour, mix with the greats, and always have his mum to drive him home.

I remember the first time I heard the song Friends and Lovers. I had just killed my first wife and was in the process of dismembering her in the bathtub, with only a small hack saw and a half empty bottle of Red Devil lye. As those first tender notes wafted from my $10,000 stereo, a solitary tear of joy came to my eye as I realized that I also had a full bottle of bleach that I had picked up at Safeway, just the day before!
