Oh fuck off. Jesus fucking Christ. Nah, you fuck off. I'm not stupid enough to believe the AC/DC Inc company line...it's plainly obvious to me what happened. Money really does talk, Evil Walks...and Brian Johnson has never written a song worth 2 squirts of piss, much less any of the lyrics on Back In Black. I regress; he might very well have written Given the Dog a Bone. I can hear that. But the ARRANGEMENTS changed. You think Bon was just drunk and playing drums while they were WRITING and ARRANGING? I'm no refreeman, but I do play bass in a band, and we do write songs, and I do jump on the drums when writing, and I do have significant input into arrangments...just as I'm sure Bon did... They were DONE writing Back In Black, and ready to go RECORD when Bon died. There's a reason the very essence of the Brothers Young's songwriting changed after Back In Black... They didn't have their main lyricist, melody writer, and arranging partner anymore...and man, it really shows on FTATR, FOTS, and FOTW. Those records SUCK, and the last one doesn't even SOUND good. It's how AC/DC became a punchline. Don't you think it's ironic that for TRE, Malcolm had sobered up, the Youngs had their strongest batch of songs in years...and they decided NOT to share credit with Beano?? (I don't...why split the publishing at that point? Especially when Alberts were still getting a piece...) When you step back and look at the whole thing - in context - it really makes sense. All of it. You may not wanna believe your heroes are greedy, but I live in the real world. The world where as soon as Silver Smith called them, the Brothers called Peter Mensch, who dispatched Ian Jeffery to get Bon's notebook...because there was a LOT of money on the line. If you don't believe that would happen, then send money to my paypal.

This motherfucking fool.
“Hello! UK perspective is indeed valid. It’s what you experienced IN YOUR COUNTRY. But it seems to me that you Brits have a hard on for your “Proper” “As The Beatles Artistically Intended” Albums. And to me, if I were British I’d feel the same way. BUT……… You guy’s STILL look down on us “Yankees”, even to this day in 2023. A bit elitist if I can say. And a bit of British snobbery. When you diss the US Capital Beatles you fail to acknowledge that a lot of other countries LABELS THAT ARE OWNED BY EMI used the US Capital configurations. And how bout the German “Beatles Greatest”. THAT’S not a British catalog album.
How bout the Canadian Capital albums that were different than the Capital US albums???
And why would a European Beatles album use the Cover artwork from the US Capital “Beatles 65”? And the Beatles “Second Album”.? All of those were EMI Decisions. Please read that again….. ALL OF THOSE CHOICES WERE EMI. NOT US CAPITAL .
I’m not yelling as much as I’m trying to emphasize that your British view is just like the interview with the girl from the Cavern club who was emotionally distraught and sad that they, the Cavern clic had lost their Beatles to the world…………
But the Reality is this, you get signed to a label and They’re job is to sell product. Different markets call for different marketing. What worked in England WOULD NOT WORK IN THE USA. And the fact that probably still pisses you Brits off is that the US broke the Beatles Worldwide. They were huge in your relatively small country. (No Diss here). With the success in the United States, WE broke the world open for them.
So in my opinion Brits actually owes the United States Fans a thank you for taking they’re Beatles to heights they would NEVER have achieved without Capital Records and they’re promoting of the Band. Not being cocky here, just finally speaking to the truth of the matter.
And after all is said and done, we have a Great British Catalogue, a Wonderful US Capital Catalog and many cool variations from around the world to collect and enjoy…….. But you Canadians still make me shake my head with your early Capitalrecords! Lol! :righton:beave”

I always judge a country by the track listing of their Beatles records.

US LPs being released by German Odeon was somehow the UK’s decision? Make it make sense.

My buddy wants to know what would be a good AC/DC album to start with? The one with the steady 4/4 beats, Chuck Berry riffs and songs about sex and drinking. You can't lose.

I'd say this, but have them start with Back In Black or a Bon Scott album, because otherwise your friend will wonder what the big deal is...

Well...when I was a kid, we had both US and UK editions available pretty commonly (the 1980s), so I always bought the UK versions.
It was simple math, really - 14 songs for $6.98 vs 10 songs for $6.98
I already had the red and blue albums...so fuck the US Capitol albums.
And Fuck The Beave.
