I’m making this post because the two other threads discussing this have closed. Many people including myself want the Beatles in high resolution. And good high resolution not just upscales made from the eq and compression riddled 09,09,09 remasters.
And I can hold out hope for that to happen but until then there is a very good way to get the Beatles in hi res completely legally.
The 2012 vinyl releases. They are still widely available around 300$ new and most importantly have been made from the true 192/24 master with very little eq and compression. With a good turntable, cartridge and audio recorder you can get good quality high res versions of these albums.
I personally bought the box set about a half a year ago and it only took me a about a week worth of afternoons to open them, do 192/24 needle drops. Name them in file trees and make 44/16 re samples to burn to CD-R’s
I have to say they sound very natural
With none of the compression artifacts and overpowerd bass of the 09 remasters. They have a soundscape similar to the 87 remasters but with greater detail and clarity.
I know this isn’t perfect but it’s the best thing I could come up with in order to have the Beatles in hi resolution and a bonus of having vinyl copies of the all the albums as well.

Somewhere on this forum it was said that that the 2012 lps were made form 192/24 files so I thought they were, sorry if I am inncorect but I still think that my homade transfers sound more natural than the 09 cdsNed Bode said:
44.1/24 audio always sounds better when you believe it's 192/24 audio.BRODNATION said:
Yup, I guess I have a bit of a placebo effect going for me. well, I still enjoy listing to them. And isn't that the point of this whole activity anyway.
